The Hollywood Rooftop Restaurant & Bar by Madame Tussauds, ok that’s a mouthful! Ok Madame Tussauds Rooftop is a more than worthy visit. Where else can you have a drink at the bar amongst “The Rock” and “Leo DiCaprio“ … fine … likenesses :)?
Wax statues from Madame Tussauds have always fascinated me. I’ve never gone inside because when you’ve been in LA like I have for over 32 years you think you’re just too cool for tourist attractions. Well the roof top bar is 1000 times better than just a tourist attraction. The museum is fantastic by itself but The (long name) Hollywood Rooftop Restaurant & Bar by Madame Tussauds short name Madame Tussauds Rooftop… is such a cool place to grab a bite and a drink. Whether you’re a local or tourist.
When you come up the elevator to the … Rooftop you can be seated at the bar or table where you can eat, drink and see a-list celebrity statues. It’s a win-win. I’m sure they rotate the statues but on my visit Leo was by the bar, The Rock was by the bar, Will Smith was chilling, Scarlett Johansson was ready for a selfie and guess who had an empty seat next to her? Zendaya! Check out the photos…
It was such a unique vibe the figures are so lifelike and you’re there eating and drinking amongst them, even if they’re wax representatives it’s still amazing! I often say people come to The Hollywood Walk Of Fame to see “stars” on the ground. To tell everyone back home they saw “stars”. But in this photo friendly experience you can eat and drink with life-size masterpieces of some entertainment giants.
I sat at the bar with no time for food but I studied the menu and it looked plentiful. They offer regular bar fare but some specialties that caught my eye in the dessert column. I will bring a friend back to explore the “Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend”. A look around and I saw a HUGE burger for another guest. The burgers come with wedges and can be made with impossible beef, the menu said, for those so inclined. I’m not inclined. I’m trying to eat cleaner as my other reviews explain but I need my burger to burger.
I decided on the Mai Tai and waited patiently for it to be made. Is that an ice crusher… wait is that a mason jar… wait is that fresh mint… ok they had me at ice crusher. Fantastic drink, good pour and the bar tender was super attentive!
Let me spell it out… If your in Hollywood and you can get a $20 burger and wedges, Mai Tai $15, plus 20% tip that includes music, Hollywood cool vibes, actual celebrity statues, and an attentive staff to cater to you… should you go? It’s rhetorical, just get yourself here. Matter of fact sign me up too, ...

My friends and I met at the host stand, right on Hollywood Blvd at the entrance of Madame Tussauds Hollywood. One of the hosts walked us to an elevator that took us directly to the third floor entrance of The Hollywood Rooftop. The restaurant is gorgeous, and right when we walked in - a wax figure of Zendaya was looking right at us! On our way to our table, we saw figures of Leonardo Dicaprio, James Dean, Will Smith and Scarlett Johansson. You're actually encouraged to go right up to all of the figures and pose with them for photos.
We were seated right by the most incredible figure of Marilyn Monroe - I caught myself looking over at her a few times during our meal. So beautiful and realistic!
Our server Kim was very friendly and professional. My friends and I decided on the ahi tuna nachos, chips and salsa, and steak flatbread for appetizers. Wow, these were so delicious. The asada street tacos were perfect.
I noticed that along with a bar, there are different seating areas including lounge areas, so this bar and restaurant are definitely great for different occasions. I actually can't wait...
Read moreThis spot is a hidden gem. The wax figures were incredibly realistic. So realistic that I successfully pranked my friend on facetime that I met Zendaya. The food was delicious. I was really impressed with the quality and prices. It tasted very high end, like the quality you would get at an upscale hotel restaurant. Prices were reasonable and comparable to other restaurants in Hollywood. It was my son's Birthday and the server and staff made him feel so special. They gave him a Birthday card and a Birthday cake!
Only things I would suggest is that they fix the elevator. The elevator has to be sent up or sent down by the hostess since it doesn't work on its own.
I also suggest they make the restaurant more visible from the street as I almost missed this place since I didn't see it from the street. Luckily I heard a Hostess on a microphone so that's how I found it. I do understand that it is probably difficult to make it visible from the street due to it being on the rooftop.
I will definitely come back and I will be telling my...
