2. The MAIN reason for this rating is my health care coverage was stopped this last December because I didn't work enough hours in September ( I was super ill and in the hospital the whole month). I went to urgent care end of Dec. for an issue and they told me I had NO insurance, no one told me ! I had no idea.

SO COME JAN 4Th, 2022 I get a letter from Unite and it was dated Dec 1st and it told me what to do to get health coverage cause I don't have it. I GOT IT A MONTH after I needed it. I am just very disappointed they tell me in time.

Unite Here put millions of dollars to get the present mayor elected and the city council, thus they carry some pretty heavy hitters in their back pockets and they aren't afraid to swagger around and flex their government supported muscles. Like any bully who has paid for Security Protections they are unrelenting in their strong-arm tactics and merciless in their harassment and thinly-veiled threats. They do it because they know they can get away with it. Meanwhile, decent business leaders who have a proven track record of fair and decent treatment of their employs are legally prevented from even keeping those thugs off their property, no matter how obnoxious and interruptive their actions are. When Unite Here and one of their hapless targets presents before City Council and LAWA Board of Commissioners, it's disgustingly obvious that the only ears that work are the ones that face Local 11s side...

Disappointing Experience with Union Local 11

I had high hopes when Union Local 11 fought hard for our pay raise. At first, it seemed like they were genuinely advocating for us. However, it became clear that their primary motivation was their own gain. Once we finally got our raise, the union seemed to vanish. Suddenly, our concerns and needs were met with silence.

The level of support and responsiveness dropped off entirely. It felt like they only cared about us when it served their agenda. Whether it was workplace issues, assignment duties, and other concerns, we were left to fend for ourselves. It’s disheartening to see a union that’s supposed to stand with us, only show up when it benefits them.
