Vedanta Hollywood temple, the Indian monk in charge whose name is Servadevananda, an old cranky skinny monk is very mean, and descriminates people whites, Latinos and women. He does not practice compassion, he is very greedy with food and his power is going to his head. He usually wakls around yelling and picking of people who are not his kind of race. He yells at people in the dinning room louly and embarrassing them in front of everyone around, when people are ready to have meals. Stay away from this monk and from Vedanta, because he is the head of the Vedanta Hollywood temple.The fact some people do not have a place to go to have a meal or people is looking for kindness and love and understanding perhaps not because of having money to buy a lunch or buy a meal. It is pure tranquility, with trees surrounding the property and well-appointed plants, like large orchids, ready to greet you. There's always a warm wave of "hello" from residents and/or parishioners, who also approach me at times of my visit, to have lovely conversation with me. Once in awhile, you'll also catch a glimpse of the occasional neighborhood cat, adding to the tranquility.
