Pros: immaculate cleanliness, very welcoming staff, fantastic bed comfort Cons: super noisy beds, low class clientele, a very low price motel aesthetic, diy gentrification remodel Super comfy beds, extremely hospitably staffed (The owner checks you into the motel himself), very budget low priced and immaculately clean. The gentrification seems to be a labor of love. The owner decided to take a dive motel and give it a diy remodel. So everything is brand new looking and he decided to keep it immaculately clean, give you amazing hospitality and to keep the price at the same price as a dive motel. The clientele seem to reflect the Wal-Martesque price rather than the luxury hotel level mattress and cleanliness. The bed frame is made of sheet metal and is sheet metal box. Basically. That would be fine except that she put on top of his thin and so whatever you put any pressure on it by getting into that, out of bed, turning over, etc. the sheet metal pops loudly and since the rest of the frame is a metal box, it's literally a steel drum and makes a loud sound like you hit a steel drum. That said, if you're okay with some very low budget people staying in the rooms next to you, the bed comfort and cleanliness remind me of five star, extremely expensive hotels I've stayed in and the staff is something that you can't even get at the nicest hotels, something you can only get from an owner operator hotel like this one. I highly recommend it to anyone comfortable with the types of people that stay at low budget motels. My family will stay here every time we go to Universal Studios.

The Indian gentleman at the front desk is a very nice person, but our experience this time was quite poor. 1. On the day of check-out, at 8 a.m., the door was opened by staff without knocking to check if anyone was in the room. This was very rude. Even after I opened the door and saw who had opened it, it was a woman, and we didn’t know what her purpose was. 2. The soundproofing was poor. The guests upstairs were still walking around making noise at midnight, and started again at 7 a.m., even doing jumping exercises. The noise was very rhythmic and loud. After being disturbed, we knocked on the ceiling to protest, which seemed to have some effect, but by evening, the noise started again. It felt as if they were deliberately making noise—dropping things on the floor, walking deliberately in shoes, and even stomping their feet. Fortunately, we were leaving the next day. 3. The bed sheets seemed to be unclean. My companion had some skin reactions with itching in several areas.

I stayed here for a week visiting from out of state. The updates are a nice addition. The bed was a little rough and as I toss a lot, the bed frame made a lot of noise. When you arrive, ask for extra towels. It was in a nice location within walking distance to local bus lines, trains etc. I went outside often as this is a no smoking facility and was never bothered by any of the bums that were around the area. You have to get buzzed in at the lobby door which made it more secure of a place to stay. If you're over 5'8" you're going to be taller than the shower head. We did not see housekeeping in our room while we were there. The staff were all polite and knowledgeable about the area and attractions in the area. The room cod have been dusted a little better. But overall I would stay here again. If you're staying longer than a day, ask for the room(s) with the mini fridge. They have free orange juice and lemonade all day and coffee early in the mornings.

We stayed here for 9 days while visiting Hollywood. We booked knowing it was one of the cheaper hotels in the area. Firstly the location was fantastic it was a great distance for walking to any of the classic tourist hotspots. |Sadly this was about the one and only good point to this hotel. When we checked in the room was very dirty there was hairs and stains on almost all surfaces and it didn’t feel clean. We were in a room facing a main road and it was very noisy however the drone from the aircon blurred it out most nights. |Unfortunately there were signs everywhere in the hotel advising you to try not to make noise in your room and avoid walking around - if we are paying to stay here I didn’t expect to be told not to laugh in communal areas. |The staff when we did see them were very pleasant however in 9 days we only saw one person at check in and again when we left. |The shower was so low down that we had to squat to use it and we are only around 5”6 so not the tallest! |The final thing was that all of the furniture was mismatched, sticky and majority of it was broken with draw fronts falling off. |Overall for the cost and the location we felt it to be ok but being advertised as modern we felt we were...
