Brought in some work pants to have a pocket hole and a corresponding pants hole that items in my pocket put a hole in. One of the ladies wrote down “patch” on the work order and put down tape on the pocket and the pants hole. My fault at pick up that I didn’t check that the work had not been done. 2 things: check their written work order, and confirm work to be done before leaving. They called me after I returned the pants to repair the forgotten pocket but that it would cost $18 dollars. I been there twice and the work they do is good (it’s work pants and a few tailored shirts) but the pricing seems random and now I have to check their work order before I leave?! I accept it’s My fault. Now that the pandemic is over I’m sure I can find someone else who will appreciate that I can do some damage to clothes. The work is 4 stars, but CS is nill. I paid, but I...
Read moreI've been using Carolina's Alterations for a number of years now. After I was treated so well at my last visit I thought it was time I leave a review. Over the years I've mostly had them hem my pants. I had them put a pocket into a jean jacket that I'd gotten. I think that's it. Just recently I got some jeans hemmed. When she asked for it to be adjusted, she was told there were no other sizes available and that there wasn’t time to make any alterations. We had to go out and purchase bra cups ourselves, and I ended up having to fix it on my own. It caused a great deal of stress for the bride on what should have been a joyful day.
In the end, my daughter looked absolutely beautiful—but the experience could have been far less stressful for both of us. Based on this, I would not recommend Carolina Alterations. The owner seemed unaware of how deeply important a wedding dress is to a bride, and she should have made the effort to ensure it...
