Read moreOur family has been so blessed to have access to wonderful produce and other groceries from the food bank during an unexpected season of hardship due to an injury and unenployment.
The staff in Loveland, Craig, the manager, Franz and Sam, are wonderful.
We do NOT complain about what is not available. This is an amazing non-profit that owes us nothing. So we see each visit as an adventure and find ways to cook and preserve creatively based on what is available.
There is always produce. Lately there have been so many apples and pears that we were able to get a very basic dehydrator and start making fruit chips and leather (roll-ups).
Potatoes, onions and carrots are usually available as well as seasonal produce from local farmers and stores.
There are shelves of all kinds of sandwich and specialty breads, rolls, English muffins, hotdog and hamburger buns and sweets. I always nab anything whole grain.
They usually have one or more of the following daily products: milk, almond milk, coconut milk, yogurt, cottage cheese, etc.

Everyone gets a bag of canned goods each month.
They have lots of recipes based on foods for the week, so we make our meals or treats out of whatever is available.
Thank you Food Bank for Larimer County, for providing for our family during this unexpected and...

I cannot afford the gas to come back in a few days when they do open. I feel like this is very irresponsible of them. If I could afford to make this trip several times, I would not need the assistance of the food bank. If I had known they were going to be closed, I would’ve waited a few more days. As I have been sitting in the parking lot writing this, several people have walked up to the door and found it closed. Most have said that this website shows it to be open. Some were visibly upset. Just because you got a few days off, does not mean others are not needing help. Maintain your site in a more responsible manner please. You have added more stress to my life that does not need...
