Store had two employees and a customer came in for a trade-in. After waiting 10 mins, a second associate was in the store but was unavailable due to phone calls meaning all transactions halted to full-stop. I asked the associate who had ended their phone call if we were stuck waiting for this trade-in to complete in order to check out and his response was "unfortunately, yes" and I was given some excuse as to why they couldnt check out while other associate was performing a trade in and we would be forced to wait. My wife remained in store with our kids to wait and I went to the vehicle to wait. Except after I left the other associate who previously indicated I would have to wait proceeded to open another register to check out other customers.
I do not appreciate being lied to as a paying customer. This store location just saw their last dime from me. Corporate should train their associates that lying isnt how you keep business. Two associates means two registers. Maybe not all the time but certainly when you have a case where overflow is occurring. Good luck out there. I'll stick to other locations who dont bull their...
Read moreI went to pick up a PlayStation controller for my brotherâs PS5. The manager, Jason, was currently working and quickly helped me find one. I plan on purchasing a PS5 in the future and he walked me through many different deals that GameStop offers. He was also very knowledgeable about games and software for many different consoles. There are many store-specific sales for merchandise as well, including t-shirts, hoodies, and amiibos. I ended up walking out with some Tears of the Kingdom merchandise, since it is one of my favorite games. Iâve frequented this GameStop for many years and havenât had any bad experiences that come to mine. The events they host, especially midnight releases, are always very fun. If youâre looking to buy physical games, I highly recommend this GameStop and often go out of my way to visit rather than have games shipped to my house, which he explained is also an option, though I prefer to...
Read moreTypical game store (this pretty much applies to most all game stores that buy/sell used games). They offer a pittance if you try to trade in games, and then WAAAY overcharge when they sell used/pre-played games. They make a lot more profit then they should on used, plus the producers get nothing (so that makes it even worse). If you're done with your games you should always try and sell your game yourself to the next end user (you can get a chunk more than what stores like this offer and the person buying saves a chunk than what a store would sell it for - Win Win). Plus typical corporate screwball sales tactics, they try and take advantage of popular new products and take advantage of their customers, and "package" hard to stock products with junk most people don't want and rake in the dough selling stuff they...
