Cavender’s in Lubbock failed the assignment today. Badly. I have been having a week and decided to take a trip and purchase a new outfit. I went in wearing my leisure clothes. I suppose that was enough to ignite suspicion. Which led to absolutely no kindness. No upselling. Just annoyance that I was taking so long. I just needed a moment. To shop. I could have used some help. You could have upsold this gal all evening. I was trying to improve my mood. But instead I was treated very unkindly. Also I found a pair of pants on clearance and they could obviously see the sale tag but disregarded it and charged full price. So I had to go back into an already stressful environment and have them adjust it. All While , three employees investigated the tag like I switched it myself. Even though there were multiple pairs of the same pants on the clearance rack currently. I’m not sure if this is an issue with bad management. Or if this is just the norm for this location. If I was the owner of this place, I would be appalled and angry at the way my trusted employees handle customers. Dylan, do better at reading the room. Do better at knowing your product. I’m a successful small business owner and I know all of my products. The way the staff completely disregarded a great potential sale today but also an opportunity to win a valuable customer for life. I was just one person. One experience. If that happens every day. It will add up. You will start seeing a decline in sales. All because of a bad team of sales people. Lead them better Dylan. And if you want the specifics on what happened since you stated on the phone that I was misreading the room. I can give you a break down. Perception is reality. I was embarrassed, ignored, made to feel like a criminal. I spent the last $200 I ever will at...
Read moreMy original review gave Cavender's five stars but I am retracting that initial review. Super clean store, great customer service, wide selection of quality items...all that is true. However, their return and refund policy is ridiculous. The fact is, each store individually decides how to deal with returns and refunds. We bought four jeans at the Lubbock store that went on sale six days later for $10 off each jean. When I learned of the sale, I took my receipt in to find out if we could be refunded the difference in price and the night manager would not honor their own store receipt; he said it just wasn't enough proof to refund me the difference - he had to physically see the jeans. Instead, I was to return the original jeans with all tags still on and in brand new condition. This was 10 days after we had purchased the jeans and they were purchased for work. Needless to say, the jeans had already been worn. I am highly disappointed that Cavender's does not even accept their own receipts as proof of purchase - absolutely ridiculous. I will never shop...
