Kokomo Korean Corndogs Mochi Donuts & Boba Tea — Restaurant in Lubbock

As a Korean, I was really looking forward to trying these Korean-style corn dogs that I love so much — but unfortunately, I was quite disappointed.

First of all, the prices were too high, and the cheese inside wasn’t fully melted, so it didn’t have that stretchy texture I was expecting. The batter was too thick, and the potato pieces on the outside were very dry, which made the overall taste not enjoyable. The interior was pretty and spacious. However, since the food didn’t meet my expectations, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

edit for reply to owner: Not only was the cheese not properly melted, but the corndog itself wasn’t cooked well either. cajun fries also had barely any seasoning on them. Considering the price, the quality didn’t meet expectations. Even if I had dined in, I don't think I would have been satisfied.

I hope they can improve in terms of both price...

I had a fun experience at Kokomo. They have a kiosk where you can order your food and once you do you get a number that they will call out.

It was my first time ever trying a Kdog and I got the Potato Kdog half cheese half beef(added hot Cheetos). I absolutely love how it was so cheesy, crispy and stringy with every bite. The beef was good too but personally I would get all cheese next time!

My first time trying mochi donuts and I tried the Strawberry, Churro, Funnel Cake. Strawberry was my favorite. I do wish they were a little warm but I will still get them again. You can get some and pull them apart to share if you’re like!

Next time doing all cheese and strawberry mochi donuts. Definitely...

The food was meh. Not as good as it’s hyped up to be. Maybe it’s because I went later in the day at 5ish? The food just should have been better and or fresher. The flamin dog was not as andver. It was not entirely covered by the hot Cheeto dust. It was sprinkled on top of one side, and one side only. Leaving the majority of it to fall into the paper boat the dog is served on. The tea was good. Got the strawberry and black pearl. Again, I would say this was not worth the $40 spent here. Especially since they were sold out of ALOT of items at this time of day.
