China Town Restaurant — Restaurant in Lubbock

If I could give zero stars for this place, I absolutely would! I am not one to give low reviews, unless it is absolutely necessary, and unfortunately, this was a place I needed to add this. Our Christmas was completely ruined because we ordered from here and I should have known something was wrong when the place was completely empty despite it being a holiday that this type of restaurant would normally be busy for.

We paid over $60 and when we got home, the food was bland, incredibly small portions for a dinner size, and the “fried” rice was just brown rice! Not to mention, the general tso’s chicken was just breaded chicken with no sauce! Wtf!! I basically had to spend the entire evening re-creating the meal with the food that we purchased because I was not going to let $60 go to waste.

I was so close to calling the restaurant and demanding a refund, but I live over 30 minutes away, which is why this was so disappointing. We literally wanted to continue our tradition of Chinese food at Christmas and this put a sour taste in my mouth! I am honestly surprised this place is still in business! Because as a black woman, I made the poor excuse of food I edible. Absolutely disgusting! Do yourself a favor and go to kung fu if you want better quality, chinese food at half...

I honestly would give them NO STARS if i could. Where do I start....Customer service skills were very lacking. We entered the restaurant and told the hostess that we would like to place a to-go order and she said okay and did not hand us a menu and began to help other guests. I had to ask for a menu. One of the waitress that did not help up with our Take-out order was not happy that we did not leave a tip....We normally leave tips if we dine in. The food was absolutely horrendous. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken with Fried Rice and my partner ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken. Both of the orders lacked flavor or seasoning. They both were the blandest food we've ever eaten. Our Fried Rice looked like regular White Rice.... Very disappointed with the food quality and customer service. Don't traumatize your taste buds with this "chinese food". It was the worst...

If I could give no stars I would. We thought we'd try this hole in the wall but boy did we regret. Servers/waiters are horrible. Mid way through our meal a server(not the one who took our order) asked my husband if he wanted refill to which he responded that it would be appreciated yes. He quickly grabbed his glass started walking asking you're drinking diet Coke right? I couldn't help but laugh out loud not believing what I'd just heard and seeing the look my husband gave him. It was hilarious but my husband didn't think so he's not even that BIG he's never drank a diet soda he drinks plenty of water and is a healthy man but even if my husband was 600lbs don't assume their drinking diet... social skills need improvement fo sure. Food is bout as good as service....pretty crappy save ur dollars take it somewhere else...
