I have been a patient at Alderwood Endodontics for many years and have had eight to ten root canals with probably more to come in time. Each root canal visit began with a review of the tooth, an explanation of what the problem was, what the procedure would entail and the cost. After each procedure the after care was explained to me and I was also handed written health care instructions and told if I had any questions or problems to be sure to call the office. A day to two after the procedure either Dr. Bogaert or someone from his office would call to inquire as to how I was doing. A very kind and professional gesture. After each procedure, I was pain free that evening or the next day.
The other day Dr. Bogaert and his assistant performed endodontic surgery for an infected tooth that was causing me extreme pain. This procedure was completely different than a root canal. The tooth was located in the upper back of my mouth and not easily accessible in my opinion, but Dr. Bogaert assured me he could do his magic and he did, once again! I admit my anxiety level was at a very high level on the day of the surgery, but in time they had me relaxed and the procedure was completed. Dr. Bogaert and his assistant constantly asked me if I was doing "okay". When it was completed, Dr Bogaert said the procedure "was a piece of cake". Granted the procedure was different from a root canal, but I did have to agree with him!
I am so very grateful to Dr. Bogaert and his staff for making all my experiences very, very pleasant. The office is very professional, exceptionally clean and with the high tech equipment can make a patient's problem and procedure be completed with utmost efficiency. They are the best and I cannot rate them...
Read moreI'm would never recommend Dr. Raymond Bogaert, all three of my appointments with him were the worst experience I've had with dental work. He was not caring, bad communication with me and his staff, and horrible bedside manner. If you want the details, I went in for a root canal last week. The first visit he seemed rushed and not caring. I had questions since it was my first root canal and he seemed bothered to be answering them. The procedure day, his bedside manner was awful (but the saving grace was the dental assistant, she was wonderful). He said my original dentist would do the final filling after the bleaching was complete, yet his reception staff had mentioned Dr. Bogaert would complete it and quoted a reasonable price. The final appointment, I had paid him to have a final filling done yet he was trying to send me back to my original dentist. I'm not sure why he didn't want to complete it himself. It saves me booking another appointment, his staff had already charged me for the work and said he would be doing it, and when he was done it only took 20 min of his time. This was the worst appointment with the Dr. as they must have been training the dental assistant that was helping out. Yes, it sounded like she really didn't know what she was doing but he was so incredibly condescending to her and it felt like they were arguing over the top of me - VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. At one point he even asked her for the "small tool with the thingie on it" WHAT?? Of course she doesn't know what that is. After he finished the filling I've never seen anyone race out of the room quicker. No asking if I had questions - NOTHING. The entire experience at that office...
Read moreLate in November 2022, I received bad news from my general dentist. I needed a ROOT CANAL done on a lower left tooth. This was a couple of days before Thanksgiving, a food-eating holiday. He told me to call Alderwood Endodontics because they accepted my Delta Dental insurance. I called them on the Monday before T-Day. They had an appointment available on Wednesday but I wanted to be able to dine over the weekend. I asked for another day after the weekend. Monday at 11:45 AM was suggested for a consultation. I agreed. Get it over as soon as possible. On Tuesday, Alderwood Endodontics called me after receiving the X-ray my dentist had sent them. Could I come in at 2:00 PM instead because the X-ray confirmed a necessary Root Canal. No consultation was needed. They could do the whole thing in one sitting. Awesome! I arrived at the appointed time thinking that there would be a delay since that has been true for many doctor appointments this year due to staff shortages. Boy, was I wrong. Promptly at 2 PM, Callie came out and said they were ready for me. Dr. Grace Wu, a Harvard educated endodontist was my caregiver. Both she and Callie were wonderful to talk to. They explained what was going to happen at each step. When they finished (two hours later), they told me what the follow up was going to be. I was prepared for pain after the anesthetic wore off. Lo and behold, that never happened. I took two extra strength acetaminophen before going to sleep to make sure I would get a good rest because there was no pain. I woke up Tuesday morning refreshed and pain free. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ALDERWOOD...
