Iām realizing why pawns shops get such a bad rap. Because theyāre run by these kind of scumbags.
I called in about getting a loan on an item. Told the guy what it was and what my ask was. Nothing exact over the phone but I was told he could get pretty close no problem. I explained I had another offer but if he was saying he would beat it I would go to him. Spoke again the next day and he told me to come in Tuesday. Long holiday weekend.
Tuesday. I show up at the shop to be greeted by a kid who just fell out of a south pole commercial and grandpa daryl. They told me I was lying about calling in. Theyāre the only people who work there and theyāre not interested. Only after I dive into my phone log were their memories jogged and they remembered they werenāt the only employees. Iām told to come in Wednesday to talk with the guy I spoke with.
It was already too late. I mustāve anger Larry and curly so they called mo. The scumbags pulled a Power rangers move and morphed together. The guy who told me heād beat my other offer comes out of the back, cuts the offer over 60% and thatās that. I donāt know what world 60% less is close to asking. When I asked why he said it was in poor condition. The only part of it was in any kind of ābadā shape was a 175$ aftermarket add on. Nothing but normal west and tear. 2700$ retail. 1800$ resale. I was offered 300$.
Apparently we run business based on how hurt our feelings are.
You dont want to buy it thatās fine but wasting days if peopleās time aināt cool. And Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Iāll add some photos to show what poor...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis store was nice and clean, the most well kept store I have ever been to. Everything was well displayed and not cluttered. They are mostly jewelry but they have tools, music equipement and firearms. The jewelry is extremely affordable and they have an amazing selection to choose from; more than I have ever seen in other jewelry stores or other pawn shops.
The workers in the store were very helpful. They greeted me right when I came in and asked if I need help with anything. I brought in some jewelry and they went through it all. They did find pieces that were real but most of what I had was costume jewelry. When I was in there several other customers came in and they were greeted and treated respectfully. Some wanted loans and the guys took their time and looked up the items. Other customers came in to pay interest and they were very happy with their service.
I would recommend this store...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame tonight to do business with them, (selling a brand new wet/dry Craftsman shop vac) and the younger guy looked at me a said matter of factly, "no we arent gonna interested in that". So I of course smiled big and told him thank you anyway would you mind if I took a look around. He said yes, but then kept a close watch on me and as I looked in the jewelry cases he realized that the back on a couple were open and he hurried over in front of me to close them, like I was gonna reach behind the damn counter and steal stuff! I was completely caught off guard. Because I didn't see the backs open nor did I care, but to bluntly assume I might jump over the counter and start stealing stuff? That was rude and it offended the hell out of me. Anyway nice jewelry but they need to work on people skills and try turning the snub nose down...
