Kung fu tea, at least the one in Lynnwood has never been known to me for quick service or super great tea but usually the employees try to be helpful. They will do the bare minimum but they do get the job done. So, they get a 3 from me. Completely average. They use milk powder and let their boba pearls sit in the kettle for most of the day and if you know anything about boba tea then you will know the difference between fresh boba and the kind thats been sitting.
Than take into account that whoever is running the place evidently doesn't fully understand how to staff appropriate to business volume while advertising quick service through the kung fu tea app and you have a recipe for a bad day. Not just for the customer but also the backed up and likely frustrated employees working that day.
In other words the Lynnwood branch has some work to do in order to improve. Like maybe making sure they keep their ingredients in stock and also not lying to you about "trying to call you" to let you know a problem with the order has happened. Your mileage may vary of course, but so far KFT has been a very lackluster experience all 4 times that I've visited and this last visit was pretty much just to confirm my thoughts on the place before leaving this review.
If there is anything positive I can say it is that the place is relatively easy to get to, they do practice social distancing and enforce masking up to promote covid safety. It also seems that they are one of the few places still taking cash right now as well. Unless you use the app. Which I recommend against because it does nothing to speed up the process or make anything anymore convenient.
Bottom line: maybe check out Pochi bubble tea, or Share tea. Either of those locations have done a pretty good job with service...
Read moreMy experience today was absolutely horrible. I ordered online for the 2nd time this week using the Kung Fu tea app. I called 1st to make sure the store was open because earlier this week on Sunday II placed my order through the app and when we got to the store 10 minutes later they were closed their power was out. I thought I would try again since I've been highly satisfied with the quality of their product. Today I was told when going in to pick up my order they were out of heavy cream because of the power outage. However I got a replacement order the day after the power outage and they had heavy cream. When I asked for a refund they said the app will automatically refund you . I said no it won't because the last time this happened it did not refund me which which coincidentally was the 1st time I had ever had Kung Fu tea. Had I known this would be so much drama I would never have gone back. Today they could not refund my order they would not give me the manager's name so I could call later. They offered me double boba which is half the price of the item they don't have available today is available today. I am very very upset and I will be calling back until I get a refund. Then I plan to delete the app and I will never go back to this establishment again. It's really sad because the things that I've had from there taste very good. But the customer service...
Read moreWhen I been, it was a complete stressful, because not only I did not get what I wanted for my beverage, but the employees also lied to me. I went there for an event where Kung Fu Tea are collaborating with Honkai Impact 3rd and are giving Limited Time Offer of their two special tea, a free scratch card along with a sticker. By the time I got there they told me that they were not giving anymore of their special drinks and their scratch cards and conclude it by saying it's a Limited supply offer. I told them that mihoyo specifically confirmed the event that it's a "Limited Time Offer" only, however they replied that it's a limited supply offer. And when I told them that came there for the Honkai Impact Special Tea, they recommended me to take a look at the menu and find something else (basically making me forget about the special). I was not satisfied from their offer and they made the Honkai Impact Evenet not even worth attending. I hope that maybe I can go to Bellevue's Kung Fu Tea and get my specials over there. It's pretty far away than the Lynnwood location, however I would think that it would be for the best and be...
