Hope Chest — Local services in Lyons Township

Worst experience ever I felt judged and they looked at me disgusted. NEVER AGAIN will I donate anything to this place. First time I donate clothing for women. I was told that hope chest gave money to organizations for abused women. I called before hand and I was told they would except the bags. They had bin's in the front to drop off. I had about 6 to 8 bags. Had to double park to drop off the bags. I wanted to let them know before leaving. The 2 ladies that were working followed me to the front and was told that the boxes they didn't take and to take them to goodwill. I was ok with that because they only took clothing, bags and accessories. But they looked at me like I was at the wrong place. Never said thank you or appreciated the donation. I left with my boxes but if I had not been double parked I would of taken the bags back and donated it to a place that would appreciate it. Very...

If I could give it no stars I would. The staff don't pay attention to the customers. I noticed the staff are talking to co-workers and not the customers. When you ask about an item, they make you feel like you are getting on their nerves. Not very friendly and at least to me. I don't want to say they don't like African Americans but I will say they are NOT kind of the idea of African Americans shopping at the shop. I will NOT BE GOING BACK! I have been there twice and it was the way both times. Everyone's money is green! I am very disappointed with this place. Oh, my goodness, where do I start with the PRAISE of this awesome boutique!! First of all, the cause of this shop is for the Constance Morris shelter for women and children. Right there, is cause enough to support them! It's s positive means with a positive end. Then, you have great staff who is truly interested to help you. AND THEN you have wonderful great, well selected and screened quality items with incredible great finds EVERY TIME🤯🥳!! This awesome resale shop is THE best.
