My wife and I stopped in to have a quick bite. It was almost closing time but the waitress and chef were in no hurry and served us attentively. The menu was filled with various types of pizza choices. Honestly, some of the choices were foreign but sounded tasty all the same. I ordered the 12 inch meatlovers for myself :). My wife ordered "The Flight", which is a combination of four 4 inch specialty pizzas. My meatlover pie was really, really, really tasty! The combination of the great crust, sauce, meats, and cheese made my taste buds very happy! As for my wife, I could tell from her smiling her choice was tasty as well. The atmosphere was friendly and the 80s and 90s pop music being played made it all the more relaxed. The waitress was nice and helpful. The chef came to greet us to ensure we were happy with our choices. On the way out, we were greeted by the owners. They were friendly and very nice and thanked us for coming in. I told them we were leaving for Italy the following week and that Italy had a competition in Magnolia, Texas! It was a great experience, and we plan on stopping by again! It's been a long while since I left a restaurant satisfied and happy. Thanks...
Read moreThe local newspaper (Community Impact) had a blurb about WanderCrust a while back and I saved it. They're about 20 minutes from my house and I finally had a chance to try them out.
An excellent experience and I'll happily go back again.
They have a build your own pizza (surprise surprise) which my wife did. I went for a walk on the wild side and tried the Jimmy Buffet Tribute Pizza Flight. If you like Big Macs, you'll love the Cheeseburger in Paradise. I was very pleasantly surprised. I really the idea of the pizza flight – you get to try a four different mini pizzas with low risk. There is even a build your own flight. Although we didn't have one, a good selection of salads.
They have a great beer selection with several I'd never had before from a localish brewery in Huntsville (Lucky 19). My wife had a glass of wine from there fairly extensive list. They also have mead!
A cold and rainy day is not the day you'll sit outside on their patio sections, but they'd be nice in the spring & fall.
Lastly, if you play Pokémon Go, there are two or three stops depending upon...
Read moreI went to Wandercrust this past week, and the experience was not what i was expecting.
Service was wonderful. The waiter was knowledgeable, helpful, and very attentive.
The only problem I had was the food. I ordered the pepperoni rolls as an appetizer, baked ziti as an entree, and 2 pizzas as togo (The wanderer, and the veggie option they had)
Pepperoni rolls were on point, and if I only had that, this would have been a 5-star review. The other options were disappointing. Baked ziti was bland, just unseasoned marinera, unsalted meat, and baked pasta. The pizzas were where they lost me, though. Both pizzas were overly salty and undercooked. The edges were not golden brown, and the underneath was soggy. Probably could have used more time in the oven.
With the dough being made in the house, I expected nothing but the best, but sadly, it fell short.
My family has already had poor experience with the food beforehand, but I have it a chance by myself. I probably won't come back unless there is a menu change.
In conclusion, it's not the worst, but certainly not the best...
