Chicken Express — Restaurant in Magnolia

Wednesday 2-12-2025 6:30pmish This location used to be great, but not anymore. Consistently have been disappointed. Either hard dry chicken strips that couldn't eat, the small side of potatoes use to be full but now skimpy small serving. Green beans were barely warm. I specifically asked if the Biscuits were fresh because they are frequently hard as a hockey puck. The girl went to make my order (she said she could bring out fresh bisquits) and she told the manager that wears a Jean skirt that I wanted fresh and not hard biscuit, the manager told her to give me the unfresh and HARD as a hockey puck biscuit. Got home and couldn't eat it, again. There is also a young man that works and is very unfriendly,no smiling at this place. Bottom line is that this location has gone way downhill. It's a shame they never offer to fix the issue when I call or go in and tell them what happened. They just say, sorry. Poor service and food, dirty tables often. The owner should think about selling to someone who cares about striving for excellence and not continued excuses or at the very least get...

I wish i could give this place a better rating. There is always such a long wait. I typically call my order in for pick up anywhere from 10-20 mins ahead of time, its never ready when I get there. I always end up waiting another 10 to 15 minutes. The chicken is good, especially the spicy stuff, which is why I go through the wait but that problem could be fixed with more attentive employees. Also my biggest complaint is every single time I try to pick up some dinner they are ALWAYS OUT of mac and cheese. I don't understand why you never have it for the dinner crowd, the few times ive been able to get lunch they have it. The next best thing is their mashed potatoes, and they taste like straight up cardboard. The gravy could use more flavor aswell, it taste watered down. I write this review in hopes it will have an affect. Im know it won't. So ill keep going to wait 20 minutes to find out there's no mac and cheese and I'll have to enjoy my cardboard...

I finally decided to eat chicken Express and went to this chicken Express here on Magnolia on 1774 a request of fresh french fries and fresh food, when I received my food not only where the fries extremely greasy and they try to tell me that those were new fries although they were dark and some of them were burnt so I knew they were a re drop, the chicken was extremely greasy because of it being cooked and dirty oil wondering how I know this, I am a certified chef and explain to the young lady that I know that the fries were a recook and that the chicken has been sitting there for a while she argued with me and let me know that it was just cooked which I know it wasn't so when I asked for my money back she started rolling her eyes gave me attitude and was trying to be rude which I wasn't going for it.
