The old person we talked to was super rude! It was July 5th, the only shop open for a holiday weekend. We first parked at the Chevron driveway, we tried to move our car a bit and make some room for other cars, but that staff yelled to us to stay and put in park gear and don't move our car again in command tone. Our car started making some noises and got so worse with time. Had them checked they quoted for $1000 for front two tire break pads and rotor, we wanted to have some time to make decisions, but they said "that's break, up to you I don't care". That can't be done in one day because parts are only available in Bishop. So the next day we bought our parts in Bishop Autozone ourselves and checked the only shop open nearby on Sunday that's AR automotive repair in Big Pine. That's perfect it's on our way back to LA. They charge much more reasonable than this NAPA shop. If you have some urgent but not immediate job done on Sunday and want a friendly guy and good price, don't go here and go to Big Pine. Will never come here again, what a rip off $1000...
Read moreThe lights and water pump in my travel trailer quit working early one morning while I was camping near Crowley Lake. I went into Steve’s auto parts as soon as they opened in search of advice. Christopher knew exactly what the problem was and asked me to bring the battery in so he could charge it. He told me that the batteries with which travel trailers are equipped would last only about two days while dry camping. He told me I would need solar panels or a generator to keep the battery charged. I highly recommend Steves auto parts and will give them my business whenever I am in the Eastern...
Read moreJust needed to barrow the check engine computer since check engine light came on. They said it is a liability to let people use it and will direct you toward the shop next to them or buy the used discounted one from them. I had no choice but to buy it off them. Returned it to a cooperate Napa and they said that the shop shouldn’t have sold me a used one and that cooperate still lets people barrow the computers. Thankfully the check engine wasn’t anything desperate, but it was a bit annoying that they pointed toward the busy shop to diagnose when alls I needed was to check why the...
