A solid 4 star experience:
GENERAL: The food was good. When compared to Takkii ramen and NoodL in West Reading we have Ninja got a solid 2nd place vote from the family in local ramen. I've had Issei in center city, but both myself and peers have gotten sick several times after eating there so never going back.
FOOD: We got the spicy pork ramen, pork ramen, an altered chicken ramen, and takoyaki balls.
Overall the noodles were good. Toppings were perfect, and broth was overall good but the saltier side.
Spicy pork ramen was in a creamy broth. Honestly some of the best meat cuts I've had in USA ramen. 3 medium sized cuts of pork. Slight smokey flavor to the ramen itself. It was not spicy for me but my threshold for spicy is an 11. Loved the soft boiled egg. Overall it was on the saltier side.
Regular pork ramen broth was delicious. Nice toppings and loved to soft boiled egg.
Chicken ramen: very tender chicken slices. Great flavorful broth.
Takoyaki balls: Okay flavor. Very mushy inside. Two tiny chunks of octopus per ball. Very heavy dark sauce. A bit much. The shaved bonito was VERY smokey.
SERVICE: A big plus to their service was they made my kid's chicken ramen JUST noodles and chicken since the kid was picky about veggies and toppings. Also VERY attentive in refills, ordering and removing empty dishes. Friendly staff! Very quick from order to food on table. Lots of to-go and door dash drivers coming in as we dined.
Atmosphere was nice. The music was a bit louder than comfortable. TV playing anime cartoons. Liked the overall design and layout.
CLEANLINESS: The place (and bathrooms) were SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. Solid 10 on cleanliness for guest areas! Great job staff...

Today’s experience, though, was a complete letdown. I ordered the same ramen again, but with an extra egg this time. The broth had zero flavor, the noodles were overcooked, and overall, it tasted nothing like what I had just two days prior. I was really disappointed. I brought it up to the staff, and instead of offering a refund, they told me to order something else because “they don’t do refunds.” That was frustrating on its own, but it gets worse—they still charged me for the original bowl AND the extra egg, even though I didn’t eat any of the eggs from the original bowl and they forgot to include the extra egg in the replacement ramen. So I basically paid for something I didn’t eat and didn’t receive. Total rip-off. I ended up trying the Chicken Ramen (Shoyu Tori Paitan) instead, and honestly, it was even worse. It tasted like they just boiled water and threw random ingredients in. The broth was bland, the flavors didn’t mesh at all, and it felt completely uninspired. Very disappointed. I used to really enjoy Ninja Ramen, but this experience just changed everything. The food was subpar, the service was dismissive, and it felt like they were more interested in protecting a no-refund policy than actually making things right.
The only highlight is the atmosphere—it’s fun and on theme. But great decor can’t cover bad food and poor service.
Never again. I’d rather...
Read moreI have come here at least 6 times and the first couple times everything was great. Unfortunately, the last 3 times the manager of this place has been quite rude. The first time he was really rushing us to leave as the restaurant was very busy, I brushed it off because the place is quite small and I can understand the frustration of trying to sit and accommodate everyone. The second time, we tried to order dessert and he replied with “if you’re going to order it to go.” Again, they were very busy but we felt very rushed. We ordered two glasses of water and he only brought out one, later on we asked for the other glass of water and he replied with “is the other person with you going to drink all their water? If not, can you drink theirs.” Tonight, we went in a little bit before 8pm and the manager asked “is this going to be to go or to go.” We said we wanted to dine in if that was okay. He proceeded to tell us that it would be up to us if we could eat fast as they wanted to close by 8:30. Google hours and their website states they’re open until 9pm on Sundays. We decided to stay thanks to the other employee, Brandon, who really is welcoming and kind. Otherwise we would have left and never came back. I love this place, but I got to say I am very hesitant to come back as this manager has been there every single time I’ve gone and I don’t want to be treated that way ever again.
Food is great, but this place needs to...
