really good chinese american food. menu is fine, only thing i wouldn't mind is if they could offer "chicken on a stick" appetizer, a personal favorite of mine.

...so yes, like some other posted reviews, this place doesn't look any different than "typical" strip-mall chinese restaurants expected in the immediate 20mile radius. but this restaurant's "spicy"entrees (curry & garlic chicken combo dinners for ex.), eggrolls, veggie rice, and soups particularly standout in my book. prices i think are comparable to those other restaurants & fair per my experience. you'll also be happy with their portion sizes, i've encountered several times that i got much more on my indoor dining plate in meat or starch than i could consume or expected to get for the price i paid. takeout was about the same observation. china house chefs are perfectly happy to customise the taste of your food to order, never had any problems requesting that being i'm picky & have picky eaters in my family/social & professional circles. for instance, i like that most of their recipes use little if any fish sauce. im not a fan of that seasoning & i've observed other local competitor restaurants go overboard with this ingredient.

if you find yourself living in or patronizing the ever growing commerce section of lancaster/manheim twnshp (belmont center, etc) in the vicinity, & craving americanized far-east...you'll be pleased & shouldn't go wrong eating @ china house. enjoy it with a glass of good red dinner...

I'm a truck driver out of state and had to park to rest. Let me start off by saying you can't go wrong at all choosing to eat at this restaurant. By far the best Chinese food I've ever had. When I get back home I'm going to curse out my preferred Chinese restaurant and let them know about this place. Ordered pork fried rice and chicken lo mein with 4 wings.. I really didn't know what to expect from this place. But u was impressed when I saw how the food came packaged. When I opened to reveal my meal I was blown away by the portion they provided. I ordered one house special fried rice, one chicken, fried rice, and one house special chow mein. I always buy from this location and they knew I wanted the noodles with the Bronx sauce. They give me some kind of strip vegetable and chicken with white rice and telling me that’s lo mein or chow mein. I’m not a stupid person. I know what lo mein is, and they trying to convince me and tell me if I don’t want it to throw it away I would highly recommend not going there.
