La Tienda — Local services in Manitou Springs

(I am giving 1 star only because of the customer service..the store itself, was nice....)i have to say I was very disappointed with the manager...My family and I came in to shop and we felt as if he thought we were thieves or vandals..He immediately followed us to every section we looked at and just hovered over us. He was polite about asking us if we needed help, but after I said no that we were just looking he still would not leave our side. I even said that I wasn't going to mess anything up nor was I going to break anything, just hoping he would walk away, and he still would not. (literally, he was 1 foot from us just staring.) I decided on a few items and continued to look at other things in the store (again having him follow us).. eventually I handed the items that I wanted to purchase back to him and we walked out. we found the same items we wanted in his store 4 stores down from him and I thanked the owner there for not hovering over us like the last store owner did. La TIenda would have had a sale with us, had he just let us shop and not been so adamant about standing over us worried about what...

This is a wonderful shop to go when in Manitou! We always love going there to look at the unique stuff and talk to the owner. She is a very kind lady who has managed this shop for many years. The shop has a lot of jewelry (made with metalwork, weaving, beads, stones, etc.), handicrafts from Latin American countries, hand-woven bags, and lots of other woven shawls/blankets/hoodies. Overall the shop is very colorful, though somewhat crowded because all of the authentically unique stuff on display. There are so many cool different souvenirs and trinkets in this store, it's fantastic! Definitely worth...

One of my favorite places to visit in Manitou Springs! Since we’re local-ish we don’t do a lot of gift shops but I love to support this business and pick up crystals to add to the collection everytime. Gorgeous jewelry with gemstones and crystals, unique gifts, local handmade goods, and textiles. Check it out whether you’re local to the area or a visitor. The prices are outstanding in comparison to some others...
