Maui Activities Store — Local services in Maui

We went to Maui, Hawaii recently. We had a helicopter ride scheduled through this third party.

We took Uber to get to the destination and when we arrived we found out that our ride was cancelled. Helicopter staff tried contacting us that morning to let us know the event is cancelled. However, this third party did not provide them our contact information and nobody answered the phone when they called them. Thus, nobody called or emailed to let us know that helicopter ride was cancelled. I requested a refund for the event and Uber ride due to 1.5hours wasted time and no communication on their part.

This company was quick to call to arrange activities but when it came to addressing issues with a canceled event, they avoided communications at all means. I emailed and called and got no response from them. They issued a refund for the activity without communication, in 1.5 weeks. No refund for the Uber ride and no responses to emails or phone calls. I would suggest staying away from this company.

What a disappointment. There were many attractive features about The Maui Activities Store’s Molokini Snorkeling Tours. Unfortunately, when I contacted them about honoring their “Guaranteed Lowest Price Available” claim, I was told many companies had gone out of business. I informed The Maui Activities Store that I could book the same trip (with the same features) with their competitor and I provided the link for them to check themselves. I also asked what further evidence they needed to honor the “Guaranteed Lowest Price Available” claim (conspicuously visible on their website and signature block). Their reply was that they were unable to honor the claim and asked me to book with the competitor. It saddens me that they find it acceptable to make a bold claim that they offer the lowest prices, but when asked to honor the claim, they will decline the request. We could not have asked for better customer service or more courteous treatment than we received during the Blue Hawaiian Helicopters Hilo Kilauea volcano tour. Wesley, the pilot, was humorous and had many stories about the area and kept us entertained. His skill was unparalleled and we gave him a perfect 10 on his landing. When my son saw a shark swimming in the ocean, he cut off his planned itinerary to circle around and let us get a good view of it and to take pictures.
