Was abused by being beaten my aid for asking for supplies. While this was happening I screamed for help but no response. Held my wrists together while beating my head against table. I have pictures and called the police.. Recordings and photos I have from my iPhone for verification purposes. Along with that I was called racial slurs from this person..nevertheless he was not fired or suspended . Arrived her for short term therapy as I had recently broke my back and hip from fall also went through surgery placing a rod to connect my hip and back together.. I am on a floor that is only for Alzheimer and dementia patients. I have neither.. Food and staff are horrible..my medication never given. This goes on and on. The patient and staff are all black and I am referred to as little whitey! My for transfer is naturally bei is being held to return me to a place where I will get the necessary therapy so I may walk again.. I have a masters degree I lion marketing very active I community that is a one hour drive from here. No relatives near , I will make certain after this horrific incident that this place be shutdown due to noncompliance of state health regulations and negligence. The patients here cannot mentally reverse their situation but I as being of sound mind can. No one deserves to be neglected as they are..physically and mentally..again I have documentation. The families of these people are probably thinking they are being taken care of.. not.. With all the money they receive from insurance and their own incomes this is a disgrace be neglectful to the upmost degree. If I can help just one of these people I have done what is necessary to us change this horrible situation. No one deserves the physical and emotional neglect that comes from this facility.. Tand numerous others in America.....
Read moreMy father has been at this facility since September 11, 2018. He has C-Diff, Clostridium Difficile, it made him very weak and left him bed ridden.
In simple terms if you want your family member to return home and be independent, I strongly recommend the physical, occupational, and speech therapist at Manorcare. My dad has improved a lot while receiving therapy and has regained much of his mobility and independence.
I would like to thank Frank, James and the rest of the therapy team for their diligence, continuing to push my dad to get better even on days when he was not at his best.
The speech therapist has helped my dad improve his cognition.
They have great equipment that aids in the treatment. They do not shirk when it comes to having patients do therapy. My dad spends about 3 hours a day five days a week.
Again if you want you loved one to return home and be rehabilitated, I strongly recommend ManorCare.
Special thanks to Theresa she is the face of ManorCare and the first person you will meet upon arrival at the facility. Nobody wants their loved one in a facility and some days I was a little down, but Theresa found a way to bring a little light to my day.
My God bless everyone at...
Read morei work for a dds and I called there to ask for a simple referral of where they send elderly patients who are disabled. "TRESSA" answered the phone. she was very rude, put me on hold for a long time, then came back on the line and spat out a doctors name that i couldnt understand. when i asked her to repeat it, she was clearly put out and hung up on me. I called back and politely said that we had been disconnected and just needed her to repeat the name she had just said, and she put me on hold for 5 minutes, then came back and told me she was too busy to tell me (very rudely). I told her she was a miserable person and asked how she could possibly work with people. DO NOT EVER SEND ANYBODY YOU LOVE TO THESE PEOPLE!! IF IT IS TOO MUCH FOR THEM AND THEY CANNOT MANAGE TO ANSWER A QUESTION THAT THEY ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWER TO, IMAGINE HOW THEY WILL REACT WHEN A PATIENT ASKS THEM FOR SOMETHING THAT REQUIRES EVEN MINIMAL EFFORT! yuk! Clearly bottom of the barrel losers in this place. I felt so depressed for the people already trapped there with those...
