For seniors, there are plenty of other facilities lacking much of what is offered here. Apartments are fairly large; include one bedroom or two(not sure about the two). Activities and transportation for shopping (kitchens in each apt.) and dining out in groups. Staff is friendly and competent. There is a dining room for all residents, with fairly large selection of food.
Pretty quiet and clean- cleaning once a week, laundry can be done by oneself or by staff. If have a car- I don't think a lot do- you can go shopping, eat out, visit, etc. I am not sure how easy it is to get to Doctor's appointments- I believe there is a transportation bus to take you, within certain hours, to Dr.'s appointments; not sure how you get back.
Not really great for vegetarians or vegans, although they say they will work with you on that. Remember, not a rehabilitation facility, although some groups offer exercise programs. They went through the nursing shortage that every place did or is still going through; but now fully staffed.
I have not seen the entire place; but they do work with diabetics. A Doctor is available for each person, or can keep your own. If you are in Assisted Living, free to come and go (sign in and out). Small pets allowed. Also near Eastgate and Target, the movie theater, etc.
So, plusses and minuses, but overall if you need some help or more assistance but don't want to feel particularly institutionalized; I would...
Read moreI cannot express enough how Joyful I am knowing that my Mom is surrounded by people who are loving, caring, and kind! My first impression was with Jackie and Melissa, and I was ready to sign on after I heard them speak about their love for the residents, and could sense how genuine their compassion is. This was continual with every single staff member, nurse, and caregiver I've met. India & Jasmine make my mom smile from the heart, and Amber runs the most Amazing craft events! Amy has orchestrated a beautiful staff, vibe, and environment. There are so many other nurses, caregivers, and beautiful kitchen staff and we love them all. Thank you, Tim and Daniel, for keeping everything running smoothly! Thank you for welcoming my Mom with such a loving spirit. I'm so grateful we found you all and thank...
Read moreI recently had experience with this place as my friend was a resident there. This place is not where your loves one should be. I watched my friend decline in her brief stay here. The term "active" does not fit this place. There is a lack of care for activity or well-being, which led to her decline quickly. I am grateful that her diligent family and friends saw this place for what it is and promptly removed her. Now, with proper care in a place that values life over the money they have lined their pockets with, her health is once again as active as one can be when coming into this stage of there life. If you value your loved one, then do not have...
