I don't normally complain or write bad reviews. I am in the customer service industry and understand things happen, but how our order was handled and the terrible service that was provided, I just have to voice my disappointment about the service we received.
It was our 5 year wedding anniversary and my husband ordered me flowers from Ava's Flowers. This is an online company that forwards deliveries and orders to local florists (like 800 Flowers) and Corrine's was the one to send the arrangement. I sent him a pic thanking him for the flowers and after that it all went downhill. the arrangement in the second pic is what was ordered, it was upgraded to the premium arrangement, and bought an upgrade for the red vase, balloons and a stuffed animal. Well as you can see the stuffed animal and balloons, they got right, nothing else was right about this order.
The arrangement is nothing like what was paid for. The description said 4 different kinds of flowers, I got 2, and a total of 12 roses and 9 small pink flowers......That's it!!! So much less than what was paid for. If he had bought the small arrangement, it would still not have the variety that was promised, But the fact that he paid for a fuller arrangement and I see more green than anything is so disappointing. I know that the exact arrangement is not GTD but it should have had the same amount of variety that was promised, if the kind was not available they should have substituted it for something else. When we called the florist said they couldn't use the red vase vase because of the upgraded arrangement that we got....excuse me, then you shouldn't have charged him for it! Ava's flowers call Corrine's and they said that it had purple flowers, I do not see any purple flowers, then they insinuated that my husband was lying and that the flower shop said it had purple flowers in it. They also tried to justify the cost, saying that I seemed happy when they were delivered. Of Course I seemed happy, I was happy, my husband got me flowers in honor of our anniversary. BUT I had no idea what he had ordered or paid for, or the fact that this was nothing like what he had requested.
Their solution, $15 off of our purchase! That didn't even cover the cost of the upgraded items that he asked for. Such a shoddy company and a shoddy follow through on customer service. They should have immediately offered to deliver a replacement or refund our money, since they couldn't fulfill the order that was given. After talking to them for over an hour they still didn't make it right. Will never order from either company again and I strongly suggestion for others to take their business elsewhere, especially if you want what you pay for, because this company will not deliver on...

Otherwise, the bouquet that was received was not the bouquet that was ordered, nor was it the size that was ordered. I ordered the largest bouquet size with orange roses, yellow carnations, and white daisies from the florists' website. What was received was an all yellow bouquet in the smallest size.
They were to be delivered to the recipient's place of work on Valentine's Day. Delivery was not in a timely manner (didn't arrive until after 5PM), and the special instructions given were ignored completely (requested the delivery person ask for the recipient by name at the reception desk so that they could be picked up personally. Delivery person dropped them off at the front desk and left without a word, causing them to nearly be taken by another person).
I understand February 14th is the busiest day of the year for these businesses, so the delivery time may not be ideal (and definitely not guaranteed), but the lack of standards with the flower arrangement itself (size and color advertised vs. what was received), as well as the ignoring of what are quite reasonable delivery requests, causes me to be critical of the entire transaction.
I do not recommend this business. There are other florists in the area, as well as reliable...
