Easily the worst experience I have ever had. The only reason I am giving one star is because I HAVE to in order to post this...
To begin with, we were kind of just thrown to the wolves when picking out our tux... very little help in that department, which is not really that big of a deal...
The issue is when we picked up the tuxes. First of all, the last person to place their order had the first pick up date, and the groom had the last pick up date... weird... when the first person went to pick his tux up, it wasn't there... finally, the rest of the guys picked up their tuxes and when the last groomsman picked it up, he realized it wasn't the correct color. I called the store and asked why it wasn't the right color and they said that the manufacturer had discontinued the vest that I had ordered and so they chose a different color (without consulting me? okay?). So he found a different vest that would match the suit! perfect! I had the wedding party send me pics of the vests they got... EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WAS A DIFFERENT COLOR. EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. can you imagine if that wasn't caught?!?!? okay. so he then tells me that it would be expedited overnight at not cost to me (gee!! thanks!!)! GREAT!! the groom was picking his tux up the next day so he could just grab everyones! well... before he went to pick his tux up, he called and the vests weren't in.... they said that because it was placed after 3:00 it wouldn't be in THE NEXT DAY.... THE DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING. so someone goes to pick up the vests the day before the wedding. the groom picks up his tux (they have his vest in the bag... or so they say). one of the groomsmen call and say that they didn't give him his vest. so the groom calls. no answer. calls again. no answer. calls again, gets put on hold for 30 minutes. calls again and drives there while on hold the whole time. at this point he's mad. He walks into the store and they say "oh yeah! we have it! AND WE HAVE YOURS TOO!" So that means that they both were in the store when he was in there earlier and they just didn't give it to him.... now the groom calls me. I tried to call the store 3 times to see what is going on over there. 3 times I got no answer. I called the customer service number.
Customer service was appalled by my experience and handled the situation very professionally. they offered me a $250 shopping spree to any men's wearhouse. I assured them that I will not be visiting the Medford store ever again. I was weary about even accepting the $250 because I am that disgusted in my experience with Mens Wearhouse. The staff in medford is very unprofessional and very unfriendly. even when customer service tried calling, they did not answer the phone. They need to do some serious cleanup over there if they want to keep business! The medford store does NOT make their business look good or professional...
Read more"Four stars is for the salesman Derik" ." Without Derik" would only be ONE star! It was my sons birthday and he had an important job interview the next day so we went to the Men's wear house to find something for him to wear on his big day. There were seriously several salesmen standing around and someone said may I help you? I asked if they had anything to fit my son who is 6'1 280 lbs. One sales man said the only thing we have to fit him are these 3X sweaters over there.... As My son was trying on these ugly sweaters , I was like take that ugly sweater off , I was about to walk out and this salesman named DERIK came from nowhere and asked what we needed, what was the occasion? I told him the other salesman said they had nothing in his size and DERIK showed us a variety of clothes in different styles that fit my son. While he fitted him and showed us clothes, he was teaching my 23 year old son how to use colors and clothes together to dress to impress. He kept telling my son , " I GOT YOU" As a single mother that was huge and beyond and above. Thanks to Derik we walked out of there and my kid was dressed to impressed and filled with confidence! "MY SON LANDED THAT JOB " I truly believe that mostly it was due to Derik taking the time to dress him , showing my son how good he could look and how to take pride in clothes in general. I found that the salesman I spoke with was pretty deceptive about the availabilty of sizes across various brands and ended up pushing me towards a lower quality brand on the assumption there was a promotion. This promotion never ended up existing, resulting in this problem getting escalated to other store staff. Terry and the store manager did not treat me with respect, often rushing me and raising their voices.
When I came back tro try and resolve the situation and get the item as the promotion price, they were out of stock of the wool suit I was looking at. Even when trying to get advise of hemming and tailoring, they insisted on fashion trends that are seemingly nonexistent. The store manager suggested that the sleeve reach the beginning of my thumb, and pushed back on me when i mentioned that it should be at my wrists, snapping at me while citing his years of experience.
The only redeeming quality of this store is Derek. He was very straightforward with me, providing me with the dimensions I needed to shop for. I ended up buying a suit and getting it tailored locally for half the cost of the suit they originally wanted me to purchase. The irony, that same suit and pants retailed for $700 at this location.
I suggest that you avoid this location. Get your dimensions taken somewhere else and purchase there or shop online if you are on a budget. Even if my experience is an isolated one, I am certain that you can save money at the very least going practically...
