Marquette Park — Local services in Memphis

I like how close this park is to my house and that there are different pieces of equipment for my kids to play on, but there is so much trash here! I was telling my kids to not pick up pieces of trash every few minutes. Maybe there should be more trash cans available and people wouldn't feel like they need to throw stuff on the ground?

This is a nice little park. It has pavilion, play ground, tables & grills. There is a paved walking trail around the park. Unfortunately after the weekend there is quite a bit of trash around. People can be rude, leaving trash on the ground. I've even seen a couple of dirty diapers! It eventually gets picked up by the city workers - Thank you! This park needs more trash cans around and people whom visit to USE them. There is a porta-potty in the north east corner of park, but no water...

The trail had just the correct amount of resistance without knocking the wind out of me at the top of the hill. Trail is half a mile long. There is a playground at one end of the park so my toddler had something to look forward to at the end of each lap. This kept him motivated to keep moving and I really got a burn.
