This is regards to the clinique counter/ all makeup counters. I am an african american and we all know that Clinique doesnt necessarily cater to black women as much with their makeup.. But i do use their skincare and swear by it. I went into Belk here in Meridian Ms to stock up on my skimcare goodies and waited there for over 30 minutes when the sales lady in the white coat never spoke to me, acknowledged me, or even asked me how could I help you or be right with you. Then another belk lady came over and there was this Caucasian lady that came right up to the counter as a customer in front of me and she asked her how could she help her?! I was in disbelief and there was no mistaken that she did that on purpose. I stood there for another 10 minutes and still no help. I went on with my shopping in the mall and came back through and there was this sweet older lady who didnt even work at the clinque counter ask me could she help me find something. The product was out of stock what i was looking for, but the fact that she took the time out of her day to help me find something that wasnt even her department meant alot. This is not the first time i have had that kind of experience at the makeup counter. I used to shop at fashion fair and the so called "beauty expert" there was rude and not helpful and didnt know her own products. Belk really needs to work on their makeup counter experts and teach them the basics of customer service as well as knowledge about their very own products. Will be buying from online...

Would it be like the picture or would it be like what you get when you order from some online line stores..ya'll know the ones.. where what you see isn't what you get...That wasn't the case here... I not only got what I picked out but when one piece was the wrong size I was even able to go to my local store and get an exchange and get the correct size without any hassle or problem. This was shocking I have never had any experience involving a return in retail be great. So ya'll have got to get down to Belk cause they have great sales going on in store and online. Pull up and call the number many times over thirty minutes and nobody answers. End up going in and ask to speak to the manager and she says "what do you want me to do about it?" no apology, no offer to help with what I need, ask her about curbside and if it's still offered and other questions and told "I don't know" to every question. Recommend going down the road to Hattiesburg where they're much more eager to help and nicer. No wonder the parking lot is always empty.
