Framebridge — Local services in Merrifield

Great way to affordably frame art pieces, especially pieces that are a non-standard size. They have a limited selection of frames but I have always been able to find something that compliments my pieces. The process and pricing is very straightforward and they ship the finished products, very neatly and securely, to your home at no extra charge. So far I have had a total of 7 pieces matted and framed through this store (watercolor art and photographs) in 4 different frame styles, and some of my pieces were multi-mat. All came out looking beautiful, though some have some minor mistakes (e.g. patch of stickiness from excess glue on the frame of one piece, felt protector pads on the wrong corners of the backside of another piece). My pieces from the recent sale took several weeks to arrive (longer than the initial ETA) but their online customer service is fairly responsive and offered me a discount for the delays. I have worked several times with at the Mosic Framebridge location, notably with Keyenna, Alexandros, and one other absolutely lovely employee. I have nothing but the best things to say. They have all been responsive, helpful, conversational, and have excellent taste; additionally I was impressed and touched by how Keyenna in particular engages my young children who are often with me in the design process. At one recent visit, Alexandros discovered secret artwork behind a work of art I brought in. Uncertain if it would be able to be separated and salvaged, he sent me a high-quality scan so that I could have it for future framing. I tend to bring in art that I've thrifted in exceptionally ugly frames and mats, and sometimes it's hard to see what potential exists, but without fail the employees have helped me make judgment calls that always turn out to be right. Over the past two years, I have had quite a few art works framed at Framebridge at Mosaic District in Fairfax, VA. I have nothing but high praise for Sam and the other customer service staff, (numbering at least five others during this period) for their superb eye and astute suggestions on frames, frame matting, and other design considerations.

Also, I am very appreciative of their patience in explaining framing options, their careful recap on what has been decided, and their clear explanations on cost.

But, beyond wonderful customer service (how frequently do you get to experience that?), I have been thrilled by the excellent work done by Framebridge warehouse staff, who execute the work in measuring, cutting, and assembling the frame matting, frames, and hanging wires.
