I honestly still think you guys are one of the best gelato places, the quality and the flavors are great. Though the customer service failed me a few weeks ago. I brought my autistic child who only eats vanilla gelato. Since you don’t sell the little plastic cups anymore and he only eats a little less than that, I decided to get a large one.( 1 part for him 2 parts for me) I asked if one scoop of vanilla can be in a different cup.( Because he won’t eat anything that touches the vanilla.) I immediately got the answer “no I can’t do that” even though i tried to explain , I got another no while doing that. There was no other customer at that moment and it’s not really difficult to weight two cups on a scale. I just don’t understand why it seemed super complicated to do that since it’s almost 10 bucks plus tip. Sadly I won’t be bringing my...
Read moreFirst off, the staff was really courteous and helpful. Also offered samples too. But this review is about the food/gelato .... and my frame of reference is other gelato places like Pitango.
Looking for original and [not-] boring flavors, we got sweet potatoe, pistachio crunch, and hazelnut. Just surprised there weren't any more interesting flavors like Earl Grey Tea or Lychee or Logan or Dragonfruit or Macademia or just about so many interesting flavors that are possible other than traditional gelato flavors. Overall, all three flavors were not unexpected; and I happen to prefer gelato that is super cold and hard so it won't melt. Unfortunately, it was softer than usual which I cannot tell might be on purpose since we tried this place...
Read moreThe place has a great vibe with a beautiful interior and neat signs. The staff is polite and attentive. Usually, in a cafe like this, you expect delicious and natural gelato like in other similar places. But unfortunately, neither the gelato nor the lemonade met those expectations. The lemonade just like citric acid, with no hint of strawberry, even though it was supposed to be strawberry flavored. The gelato was also disappointing: too fatty and more like regular ice cream than authentic Italian gelato. Overall, the food was mediocre, but the prices were as high as those in good Italian cafes. You can get this kind of gelato and lemonade at ordinary cafes for half the price. It feels like it's just a pretty wrapper covering a...
