We rented a sprinkler trencher last Friday, we live in Overton so we drove a half hour to pick it up. Arriving at 6 pm to, the employee could not keep the machine running. A second employee came out to help. They added oil to the engine, then realizing that wasn't the issue, they followed the diagram instructions on the machine. They had to hold down a safety lever to make it run. Getting the trencher home, and starting my project early Saturday morning, we found that the trencher would not run under a load and would die. After 2 attempts at restarting it the pull cord broke off and wound up in the cord cover. We found the choke was completely broken and wired half open. Finally in utter disappointment we decided to return the trencher, with not accomplishing anything. At the return talking with the mechanic we told him what a (POS) the trencher was and if they were going to rent something it needed to be fixed correctly and not Micky moused. Now they were costing me money. I will never rent anything from these people. If this is an example of quality mechanical work , which it isn't, I'll go elsewhere. They didn’t break off their conversation to help me so I just stood there waiting, waiting until one fellow decided to wait on me. By the time I finished checking out, there were several customers waiting in line behind me. Normally I would have been more patient but I had come to ACE from a VERY grueling 2 hour + Physical Therapy session and was in excruciating pain. The folks in line didn’t seem very pleased either!! THEN I tried to fill out the customer survey & needed their ACE Store number. I used the receipt example button which WAS SUPPOSED TO APPEAR/ be located on my receipt… IT WAS NOT. I had called the Mesquite NV ACE twice, twice, and the assistant manager didn’t provide the complete number. I then had to search online where I finally found the complete store number.    Read moreI was almost ejected. A young woman exiting as I was entering wasn't wearing a mask. I mentioned it and she loudly responded, "I don't like wearing a mask." I said that was not a good excuse. She then yelled at me, "I have asthma." I started to answer when the clerk at the front desk told me to take it outside. I told the clerk firmly that her mask was not on properly as her nose was uncovered. Later I noticed another member of the staff not even wearing a mask. One employee defended the situation saying he had been a inhalation therapist for years and then on M-95 mask was essentially useless. To all there if you had only a cotton sweater, would you not wear it in a snow storm? If you really have a lung condition that impedes you from wearing a couple of pieces of cloth in front of your nose, you'd best be avoiding public places. Doctors are not giving out notes to very many people. Give a d.... about others....
