I came to Planet Fitness this evening at 6:03 pm and asked Yeny Galindo to speak with a manager. This is what she said her name was later in conversation. The manager name is supposed Adrian Salazar. She asked me what the reason was and I explained that it was regarding an unauthorized charge from Planet Fitness. I was informed by their billing department that the initial card used to set up my account was kept and used as a secondary method of payment when my monthly charge declined. She then walked to what I’m assuming was an office and came back stating he was in a meeting which started at 6:00 pm She was not polite but very nonchalant as though she did not care what my concern was. THIS IS A COMMON PRACTICE OF PLANET FITNESS! There is always a bait and switch and when you try to speak with management to cancel your membership… the manager is in some make believe meeting and will have to call you back. She asked if I wanted to leave my number for him to call me back but I declined. I asked for her name as well as the manager, hopefully this is the correct information. It’s the lack of customer service, clear avoidance tactics and lack of information given when requested. I need to cancel this membership and I wish I never subscribed again. Now I will have to try and come back during the day to see if he is available to cancel something I do not want anymore! This is how these types of companies thrive. No corporate complaint number was given just directed back to a manager that’s almost non existent! Disgusted! I initially didn't not plan on cancelling my membership. I wanted to speak with someone about my card that was charged as a secondary form of payment. It was the same card I used to initiate the membership. I wanted to know why they charged this as a second form of payment. If they need a secondary form of payment, I need to add another card. The employee never allowed me to fully explain myself and the manager didn't attempt to do anything. I'm not writing a letter and sending it in. I want to cancel with someone face to face just like I spoke with someone face to face when I signed up for the membership. It's amazing how your company is providing all these follow responses but you can't speak with anyone to actually get something done!

Read moreI got relocated for work, called to cancel my membership being as there is no planet fitness where i am located. called may 13th and was told i needed to write a letter and mail it in so that they could cancel my membership. Did just that and no cancelation. called again june 16th and was told the same thing. send a letter being that they did not recieve the first one. Again here we are july 28th and im still being charged for a membership i can not use. called customer service, he said the cancelation can now be done online which took affect in may. i was never informed that this was an option. so i attempted the online cancelation and now they want to charge me another $58 cancelation fee (buyout) which i was never informed of, i was told there was no cancelation fee (cancel anytime) as they adversite. which is wrong. Customer service rep said all he could do is transfer me to the location and speak with a manager as that manager is the only one that can override any fees or make any changes. i told him i dont care for a refund just want the memebership canceled. So he went on and connected me to the location and i was placed on hold for 18 minutes and 36 seconds with no one coming to the phone, customer service rep just said "oh maybe she is getting the manager, but yall are connected". at 18 minutes of listening to comeone talk to other people in the background i get a automated "on a scale from 0 to 10, 0 being very unlikely, how likely are you to recommend planet fitness to others" i said 0 and even pressed 0. the same automated message came on another 4 times without accepting my response. I had referred too many people who actually signed up, so I have brought business back to this place and After years of coming here every day wearing the same thank tops, finally the judgment free zone decided to judge me. And said that I couldn't wear that thanktop next time, after I been wearing it for years and nobody had said anything till now. It does pisses the F* out of me having someone come In The middle of your workout and interrupt just for Stupid stuff like that. Why the dont put more attention on people who do not take care of the equipment instead of been criticizing what people wear, this is a Gym you need to be comfortable to workout. That happened before with my backpack they told me I couldn't bring it on the floor. when there is other people doing the same thing and nobody says anything to them.
