On January 21, 2024, around 5pm I purchased a PS5 Slim from a shady black employee who's name is "Torrio", he did not greet me on the way in, and looked at me as if he had a problem with me being in the store.
On my way home I realized he had not given me my receipt, so I checked the bag and saw that the PS5 Slim he gave me was not properly sealed and had been tampered with, the tape was cut and the box had tears.
He charged me full price for a "brand new" PS5 Slim Digital Edition when it clearly has been refurbished.
I returned to the same store shortly after to ask him for my receipt, and he began to get aggressive with me. Saying " I ain't got your receipt, what do you need it for to return it or something".
I told him no, and that it was none of bis business. So he said in response, "It's not like you got the warranty so it doesn't even matter".
And I told him yes it does MATTER, I need my receipt because I spent MY MONEY to purchase this console, my receipt is PROOF OF PAYMENT.
And he began to say disrespectful things under his breath, telling me he's giving me my receipt while also looking at me in a hostile manner, I will be reporting his behavior to those of higher authority to ensure that...
Read moreOver the last couple of years this location has gone downhill. It looks like the company doesn’t care about its employees or its customer base here. Not only do they have single coverage, meaning more work for less pay, but due to corporate not caring, neither does the staff. This location is supposed to be open at 12pm (noon) and it’s been a few times now where I come by around 12:30 and the store is still closed. When it is open, they don’t have much in store and I’ve been witness to them having to send guests to other stores because they don’t have games or consoles in stock. This used to be a great store where people would line up for midnight releases and it would be filled with guests of all kinds talking about their favorite games and consoles. At this rate it’s better to just order online from Amazon or Walmart. I went to the store to pick the game up and the cashier told me it wasn't ready be picked up and he couldn't cancel the order until the order was complete. So I purchased the game while I was there and was told I could cancel the order when it's ready. So at this time I paid for 2 games the exact same games. I left the store with one game in my hand and the other game is not ready for pick up. I did a email that it's ready be picked up 30 minutes before the store closes I decide to wait until the morning to pick up. An hour before the store opens I get an email saying thank you for picking up your order. The people inside gamestop treated me like I was a con artist.
