Seeing as I can only edit my review instead of respond to the owner: I find it funny the attitude between this open response versus text is extremely different. First of all I will start with the fact the manager at the Carillon was livid when hearing of this situation so it is absolutely you all that were at fault for this. Many others we spoke to felt the same about your pushy, overpriced, and disorganized process. This is absolutely in no way a form of bullying what I stated was character throughout the entirety which is in no way how clients in my own profession would be addressed ever. In fact, you all were bullying for the way we were not only badgered the day we were leaving about having to pay $3400 upfront and not the weeks ahead when we booked the sessions, but also bullying in between the sessions we had already paid for about payments that we already sent over. We had sessions with you from the first day but of course did not fulfill the rest after the way you all treated us and i actually heard that from multiple other people at the hotel. You charged resort fees that you werenāt allowed to since we were staying at the resort and paid that to them and we still donāt have that other $1000 back. Planned to be at the carillon for 4 nights and wanted to do trauma therapy over the fact my mom and I have gone through a lot in life. Planned to spend around 3500 on all of the treatments we wanted to do and had a few each day. Planned everything a couple weeks ahead and it wasnāt until the day we were leaving and on the way driving to the place they told us we needed to pay upfront. Now weāve had many services and never been asked not only to pay upfront but to tell us day of (seemed awfully suspicious) we asked where we could put a card on file as any actual business has some place to do that. They told us without paying upfront they were going to have to unbook all of our services so my mom paid the first 1000 and then her bank would not allow her to transfer more. Worst part was my mom (who needed it the most and was paying for us both) could not transfer more so they said they rebooked our first day of sessions (turns out they booked one opening ceremony and one bio scan which had no set length and didnāt book anything else despite paying the first 1000) so it wasnāt until we got there they booked my bio scan and our massages which btw they did it so on the spot and ended up texting my mom and I to hurry back from lunch so we could get our answers after we spent our whole morning trying to figure out the finance stuff and our sessions we had less than an hour and a half before they called us to come back on their time. My mom who should have been having a relaxing time to sort through trauma was now stressing and tore her bank a new one to try and be able to transfer more and the bank said they could only extend a limit of $500 a day so she paid another $500 and set one to be paid the next days too, so in total outside of our services that day they have AND STILL HAVE another $1000. Well apparently that wasnāt good enough for them they asked us to use Apple Cash and send it to the owner Julia who is actually an incredibly rude woman for someone who owns a business built on recovering trauma and overall serenity. We sent the Apple Cash on our end and every time it was sent it was returned as invalid. We sent it to her and asked if there was any way again they could take a card on file, a pay site, or oh my gosh ring it up on any type of easy pay machine to which Julia responded that I guess weāre just gonna have to go get a cashiers check or money orderš¤·āāļø yeah absolutely not if you create a business built on trust, peace, help, kindness, and again TRAUMA RECOVERY you would think the owner who even wrote her own book on it would know how to handle that much better. Craziest thing is once they got that other 1000 they said we could book more sessions and we just asked for our money back THAT THEY HAVENT SENT BACK. After trying to contact this group several times to schedule several services, I received a call back the week before the trip, one of my busiest weeks at work. When I was able to go back about the services I wanted for my daughter and I, I signed for them, then received a text I needed to pay in advance, more than $3k ā in cash- up front??!! Before even arriving at the hotel. Even better, there was no secure payment link or reserve with a card) they wanted me to Zelle the funds to one of their cell phone numbers (Iām not kidding)ā¦
After spending the whole day trying to transfer cash I realized this was stupid - they would not schedule services until I paid them all⦠then, I had the owner call me and tell me āif Zelle wonāt let you send cash now to my phone number, I guess you have to go get a wire or cashiers checkā⦠after wasting a day of my vacation time jumping though their hoops, we went to the spa at the Carillon, which was what I originally thought I was paying for when I scheduled the massages.
The hotel also told me not to pay this $$ up front to them and agreed it was a horrible ask - FYI Zelle has cash transfer limits the first 30 days you use it⦠I created a fraud notice on my account after making so many attempts to transfer funds this way.
This group is a scam⦠I certainly did not pay $2k for 2 massages (50 minutes) and 2 (30 minute) Biowell scans. I believe in the value of these kinds of services, but this group is just a scam and obviously I have not received my funds back that I should have received back by now..
Best Lifeing threw this together last minute. They could have ruined my vacation.. do not hand over your money to these people.. they were disrespectful and unreasonable and reminded me that there are horrible people in this business, who try to make money off the life experiences of others. This is not wellness; this is called frauding consumers.
In talking to others, ours is one of many complaints about this group⦠Iām sure the hotel will disassociate with them soon enough.
Where is the rest of my money? Iām still waiting on the transfer of funds back. I have reported to guest services what took place and waiting on the hotel manager to come back to me. I believe the Carillon will not appreciate them stealing the massage from the spa and hopefully will not like they treated us this way.. will update when I receive a solution to thisā¦.

From the very moment I booked the day I really felt cared about from Julia Brodska, so I felt very calm and in good hands even before I started the retreat. My first session was with Estefania who guided me through an hour of Conscious Breathwork. No words can describe the feeling I had in my body, soul and mind after that session. Estefania is nothing but amazing and she guided me through my layers and into my inner me. It was a very emotional and strong experience, which made a difference in my life. The next session was 2 hours of Regression Hypnotherapy with Julia. I hadnāt tried this before, but with Julias wonderful approach and long life experience, she guided me deep into a place where my body was relaxed as never before. I was with Julias voice during the two hours and felt very relaxed and I visualised things, people and situations that are really important and which all will help me to make changes. Julia is amazing! Patricia guided me finally through an hour of kundalini yoga and also this session was fantastic and overwhelming to me. All in all, my day at Best Life-ing was something that I will never forget.
