Shane Center Miami Beach — Attraction in Miami Beach

Here is my personal experience with the Shane Center as a bride:

We got married on Dec 9th & everything was PERFECT! The Shane Center sells itself. The place is gorgeous inside & out...it's exactly how a friend described it, an art palate you can use to create your own world. Now, while the LOCATION is great & the PRICE is great, the staff is NOT. Here was our issue:

As per Shane Center CONTRACT, we are allowed 2 hours to set-up & 2 hours to break down. The Shane employee that was there on the day of my wedding decided to leave after 30 minutes so that 1 of my vendors did not have access to collect their items. The next day (10 minutes before boarding my flight to go on my honeymoon), I receive an email from the Shane Center that they will be charging me $435 for "trash" left behind. I decided to ignore it until I returned. Upon return, I spoke to the employee that had sent me the email. Needless to say, she could not remove the penalty and told me to speak to the Director. I set up a date & time to meet and that was...POINTLESS. I was told I, ME..the BRIDE ON HER WEDDING DAY, should have called the vendor to remind them they were suppose to arrive. In the end, I left incredibly disappointed with the callousness of the staff since I was being PENALIZED because their employee did not adhere to Shane Center Policy.

I know it's very tempting to sign on the location because it's beautiful...it really is & the price is GREAT! But the headache that came afterwards was not worth it at all. I wish I would have kept searching which is why I'm...

Terrible experience, it was almost 80 degrees inside the entire night! Response from the Shane Center, oh sorry, two of the three air conditioning units are broken. Totally destroyed my one time chance for my daughters wedding! Everyone was sweating bullets the whole night. My father who is almost 90 years old had to leave after only one hour it was so hot. The worst part is that I am an air conditioning contractor and could have had the air conditioning units fixed if they just would have told me. We could have had the air conditioning fixed or at least set up spot coolers or something, no they just took my money knowing the venue would be hot the entire night. Apparently they did not care. Such a big event that we have been planning for and anticipating for years, ruined!! No way to do it again! So bummed, I feel like I failed my daughters big day. Thumbs down to Shane...

The Shane Center was the best decision I ever made for our wedding! My husband and I actually met while at a wedding at the Shane Center (he was the best man and I was a bridesmaid) so we wanted to get married at the place where we met. But we didn’t want to sacrifice quality for symbolism. We got so much more than we bargained for! The staff was amazing! They treated our wedding as if it was their own. Wow! We were blown away!
