During my recent visit to Don Pan Bakery in Miami Beach, I was thoroughly impressed by both the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by the delightful aroma of freshly baked pastries and the friendly smiles of the staff.

I decided to try their famous cachitos and pastelitos. The cachitos were perfectly baked, with a light, flaky crust and a generous filling of ham and cheese. The pastelitos were equally delicious, offering a sweet and savory combination that was simply irresistible.

The café con leche I ordered complemented the pastries perfectly, providing a rich, creamy coffee experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. The service was quick, and the staff was attentive and eager to ensure I had everything I needed.

The five-block stretch of Collins Ave from 65th St. to 72nd St. has a number of small, mom-and-pop, Latino flavored but locally run bakeries each having a selection of coffees and other non-alcoholic drinks, pastries, sandwiches, and even some what would be considered dinner items. Don Pan was started by a Spanish family who came to this area via Venezuela. It’s a chain but confined to a few locations in the Miami area.

I’ve visited twice and wasn’t disappointed with the very reasonably priced pastries or the sandwiches (also arepas, empanadas, etc.). But, I was blown away by their coffee. Once you have coffee here, you’ll never go a Starbucks again. And they serve it all up with no muss or fuss.

Today, we stopped by Don Pan bakery in Miami Beach. We have driven by many times on our way to other places. This time, we stopped in and are so glad we did!

This is such a cute bakery, well designed, and decorated. It is family owned for 25 years. You can dine in or take out. They have breakfast items, lunch, and parties. We chose to take home. The prices are reasonable also.

We ordered a Ham and Cheese empanada, which was delicious! These are larger than the small ones given out by other bakeries. My daughter got the Beef empanada and enjoyed hers. We also got strawberry tarts and guava pastelitos for the weekend. There are so many items that look delicious.
