I really like this place. I wouldn't call it a park (hence four stars), it's more an access to the beach and altantic path. There's minimal amounts of grass so you couldnt sit and picnic or play, and the grass that is there is pretty covered in dog poo. There's 3 turtle sculptures with info about them, which my toddler loved. The playground is amazing! Not particularly shady but really new, clean and loads to do in it. All fenced in and secure. Lots of exercise equipment and a path right on to the beach. We headed there early to play on the beach for sunrise (gotta love a bit of jetlagged toddler!!) and then on to the playground whilst it was still cool. The concrete car park and paths make this another very unshady sweltering area of Miami though during the day. Even the Atlantic Path has very little shade.

Allison Park is a nice small park with access to the beach. The beach area is popular with surfers on days with heavy waves, although usually the water is too chaotic in this area for good surfing. There's a small parking lot that is almost always full, so don't count on being able to drive here. There's also a Citi Bike station in the parking lot, although it is also too small, so there are often no working bikes, or it's completely full and you can't return your bike there, depending on the time of day. Finally, there's a nice, fairly new children's play area that is very popular.

Well kept, there's parking if you get there early before 9 a.m. metered parking limited time. Once the afternoon hits people will be circling around the parking lot looking to take your place as you leave. The beach was clean, and the ocean was clear until the tide started coming in, and then there was a bunch of trash that came with it in the ocean. While we were there there was a bunch of men of Wars ranging from the size of a large fist to even as small as a pinky tip watch where you step, especially where the shore meets the ocean.

Allison Park flies under the radar compared to some of Miami's flashier beaches, but that's precisely its charm. Here's why this little slice of paradise deserves a perfect 5-star rating:

Beach Bliss on a Budget: Forget the expensive beach resorts! Allison Park offers a pristine stretch of coastline perfect for soaking up the Florida sunshine without breaking the bank. The clean, well-maintained beach is ideal for families, couples, or solo travelers seeking a relaxing day by the ocean.

Calm and Collected: Unlike some of the more crowded Miami beaches, Allison Park offers a tranquil atmosphere. The calm waters are ideal for young children or those who prefer a more peaceful beach experience. Relax on the shore, listen to the sound of the waves, and let your worries melt away.

Family-Friendly Fun: Allison Park is a haven for families with young children. The calm waters are safe for splashing around, and the ample space allows for building sandcastles and playing beach games. There's also convenient parking right by the beach, making it a stress-free day trip for the whole family.

Clean and Convenient: The park is well-maintained, with clean restrooms and changing facilities. The convenient parking situation eliminates the hassle of searching for a spot. Additionally, there are usually lifeguards on duty, providing an extra layer of peace of mind.

A Local Secret: Allison Park offers a taste of authentic Miami beach life. Mingle with friendly locals, soak up the sunshine, and experience the laid-back charm of this hidden gem. It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Overall, Allison Park is a fantastic choice for anyone seeking a relaxing and affordable beach experience in Miami. Whether you're a family with young children or a solo traveler looking for some peace and quiet, Allison Park offers a slice of paradise with a local feel. It easily earns a perfect...

I love this park. Whenever I come to Miami this is the place I want to come and spend the day on the beach. They have a lifeguard right there actively on duty, so that will definitely bring some ease to any parent with children. They also have bathrooms there and they were pretty clean.

The only thing that is a struggle is finding parking. You have to get there super early if you would like to get a parking spot to spend the day on the beach. If not, you'll have to find a different location to park and walk. So if you're bringing a bunch of stuff for the beach, then you'll definitely want to do that early...
