Flamingo Fitness Center — Local services in Miami Beach

New incident: 9/10/24 between 8.30/9pm. I have been training at this gym for a long time and I have once again witnessed the inappropriate behavior of the same girl at the front desk. She was yelling at a client who was with her children including a small one in a stroller, the client tried to leave to stop the discussion, I heard her say she would not come back to train here, the girl continued to yell and tell her to stay here to sort it out. She is very disrespectful and very unprofessional, every time I come she is rude, always on her phone and annoyed as soon as someone asks her something. I do not understand how someone like her can work at the front desk of a gym! Some friends wanted to sign up a few weeks ago and she refused to give them a tour of the gym and was very short with them, too busy being on her phone as usual! I asked the customer with her children if she was ok, and when I saw her outside again, I advised her to escalate this unacceptable situation. Several other people who were training were shocked, we could hear it from the bikes, she told her multiple times that “I’m busy! I’m on my phone: on Instagram!” She even pointed her phone with instagram opened… Not a good look at all!!! Too bad because the other employees are friendly and...

Debbie the old manager that works the front desk is the most unprofessional and just outright eccentric individual I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I have lived in Flamingo for 12 years now, and ever since she came in a few years ago, she was so rude it made me cancel my entire membership and start jogging outside instead.. after going 5 times a week for over 10 years!

To elaborate about Debbie.. over the course of these many years credit card numbers and leases change and so there will be an occasional hiccup at the front desk. Debbie will yell out at you from halfway across the gym that your credit card got declined and to get back right now to fix it! 1 time, she was even looking at the wrong screen when she barked at me, my payment was good! Not even so much as an apology. Needless to say, it's embarrassing how unprofessional the gym employee's behavior is. I can't wait until she gets fired so I can come back and not look at her old miserable, "just smelled a fart face"...

The Flamingo used to have the best gym I've ever been to. It was one of the top perks of living here. Super spacious, with incredible views and amazing instructors. Then they went and renovated the building and moved the gym to the first floor and just like every other renovation in this building, they completely ruined it. On top of that they raised the rates too. So now residents have to pay more for so much less. The new gym is just awful, I can't believe they robbed residents of such a great amenity. It would be one thing if the gym was included in the rent, but we have to pay extra for it too. I got a membership in an outside gym that's much better, but I hate that I have to leave the building to use the gym when we had such a good...
