This place is vile. I’d been a year or so ago and it was much better, but this time, we paid $60 for two people and the food was inedible. The hummus and tabouli were tasteless, the fries seemed like they were frozen and from a bag, the Greek salad had such massive chunks that I had to cut everything up, etc. But all of that is whatever. The real problem was the chicken gyro, which came out looking like slop. I’ve had the dish too many times to count. This wasn’t that. It tasted like overly salted fish. I brought it back and asked if they mistakenly gave me the swordfish, but they insisted it was the chicken. Neither of us could stomach it, and we had to throw nearly all of it away.
We tried giving a couple of pieces to our dog, who was there with us. First, she refused it. (She never refuses food, ever.) Then, after overcoming her skepticism and eating a small piece, she vomited all over the back of the car.
This wasn’t a matter of the food not being great. It was the most disgusting meal I’ve had in Miami in...
Read moreFirst I want to say that I'm a local and nothing makes me happier than to give a good review to a local restaurant. I had passed by this place many times and been contemplating going there for some time. The place is very nicely done, the order system is either on the table through your phone, or by going to the register and ordering there. Maybe that's why the servers are a bit confused about how to serve. I'm not a fan of the system, but still was hoping to have some tasty Mediterranean food. I ordered the iskandar kebab, it was obvious it was not fresh, some parts were cold and some piping hot. A trait of when food is warmed up in the microwave. My wife ordered the wings, and I can honestly say it was the least tasty chicken I've ever had. She only ate one. The Greek salad, .. the presentation was okay, although I question placing paper under a salad with dressing in the plate. The dressing was also very bland. Needless to say not a place we would return to. Disappointed, is...
Read moreI am a big fan of the Mandolin venues! At first, I was skeptical about them wanting to expand and not living up to the Amazing Mandolin, but they have been able to put that authentic Aegean food taste mixed with a bit of Miami’s classic architecture and DEFINITELY live up to their fabulous reputation! The prices are a bit friendlier than the other restaurant and, although it’s also a bit more casual, it very fancy and nice! The service is amazing and everyone is sooo kind! The food is, as expected, delicious! I’d recommend the Solo dishes with the tzatziki on the side! The Greek salad is also great!
Looking forward to going there again!
Ps: go check out the hotel on the back (posted some photos...
