Madrid Tapas Y Vinos — Restaurant in Miami

. UPDATE: I WENT BACK LAST FRIDAY TO ENJOY THE FLAMENCO SHOW. UNFORTUNATELY IT TURNED OUT TO BE A VENEZUELAN SHOW OF CHEAP PATRIOTISM. THE SINGER KEPT SAYING "VIVA VENEZUELA" AND BOASTING THE CAST. DID NOT MENTION SPAIN, OR OTHER NATIONALITIES, WHICH IS TOTALLY OFFENSIVE, POLITICALLY INCORRECT , AND IN VERY POOR TASTE. WE PATRONS COME FROM DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AND CULTURES. NOONE SHOULD REPEAT VIVA ANYTHING MORE THAN 17 TIMES!! NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NOT BE RETURNING WHILE THAT FANATIC "SINGS" THERE. SHE TOTALLY RUINS THE SPIRIT OF GOING TO A SPANISH RESTAURANT AND ENJOY THE CULTURE. SUGGESTION : IT SHOULD BE CALLED ..."CARACAS, AREPAS Y GUAYOYO"Update: I reserved a table, they gave it away. I ordered an extra glass to share the cava bottle with my friend, they bring a glass with cava. I complain, they take it away, they bill me for it anyway. They are adopting the same terrible habits of other Spanish restorants swapping higher bills, then pretending they gave you the bill belonging to the next table close to you, Food , this time was EXCELLENT, I MUST SAY. On Lejeune Road near Miami international airport is a little taste of Spain with yummy tapas. It's at a strip mall and parking is tight but I would say it's pretty much worth the find it.

I stopped by for lunch a recently and ordered outside. That and a slight mixup which they did fix with my sangria is what it is only four stars. For starters the dishes are much more flavored and generously sized than a well known Spanish chain place. For example my patatas bravas were thinly sliced and with a nicely spicy red tomato sauce with a decent bit of heat. The Huevos rotos I enjoyed had perfectly salty Serrano ham, a sunny side up egg and fries (instead of potato chips like at some chain spots).

Dessert was the crema catalana recommended by my waiter. The crust was slightly crispy and the crème rich and not excessively sweet. A strong espresso and white wine sangria consisted of the liquid part of my meal.

I heard that they have flamenco and or other music shows inside and on the weekend. Even for a normal meal I would recommend eating inside as I did have to step in a couple of times to get service. They also gave me red wine sangria to start when I asked for white wine sangria. However they did straighten this...

The food was not bad, although not good enough to justify the service we received. When I ordered my plate it was supposed to come with two sides, I didn't notice this until right before the food was brought, they neglected to ask me and ended up deciding which sides I was going to eat. The place is small, this can either be a good or bad thing, tonight there was a very large party, they were very loud and their misbehaving kids were running all over the place, they kept hitting my chair and the parents completely oblivious. The service...I had to keep tracking down the waiter to ask for water, not once was it brought without me asking for it, he didn't even ask if we were happy with the food through out the entire time we were there. At the end of the dinner the check was brought over THREE different times because they duplicated several dishes on the bill. After telling them twice and having them brought it twice wrong I ended up paying the final amount which was still a couple of dollars over what it was supposed to be because I just wanted to leave and be done with it. The food wasn't bad, but the horrible service alone won't be enough to bring me back...
