I was a resident at this community for 4 years, and while my living experience was overall fine, my move-out process revealed how poorly management treats long-term tenants.
Throughout my time there, the biggest ongoing frustration was the grill area. It was consistently dirty, and even if I cleaned it myself, management would still threaten to charge residents for leaving it “unclean.” To make matters worse, the cleaning tools provided were covered in mold, which was both unsanitary and unacceptable.
When I relocated out of state, after years of steady rent increases, management searched for any excuse to withhold my full deposit and even attempted to charge me additional fees for damages that simply did not exist. Fortunately, I documented the entire apartment on video prior to moving out, knowing this was likely to happen. The only legitimate deductions should have been for a missing key and standard paint touch-ups — nothing more.
What left the deepest disappointment was the change in attitude from the staff. Ely, the manager, was polite until the day I gave notice, after which her behavior shifted dramatically. Lisbeth also changed; she once tried to charge me $500 simply because I moved a table outside of “allowed hours,” even though there was no damage whatsoever to the elevator or walls.
It is disheartening that after being a respectful, responsible tenant for 4 years, I left feeling mistreated, disrespected, and unfairly taken advantage of. My experience serves as a cautionary reminder: prospective residents should be aware that management prioritizes finding ways to penalize tenants over maintaining fairness and professionalism. In response to the deposit for the elevator, nothing was damaged, i was trying to sell the furniture and there was no way to reserve the elevator within a week. People would buy it and pick it up the same day. Nothing from the elevator was damaged. Plus the floor, months prior moving out was reported because the apartment got flooded and broke the floor. So that was not considered of course. The wall paint was painted but even though it “was hard to remove” it wouldnt cost 600$ dollars to paint a wall. I really hope the leasing office manager at least keeps something from that deposit but at least buys a new sponge for the grill because even that has mold. And as seen on the photos “that was the big damage that was done” . And of course no pictures...
Read moreUgh such a disappointment! We were so excited to live in this apartment for 1 year but it ended up being more of a hassle than anything. First, we moved in and the unit was extremely dirty and we had to beg for someone to come clean it up. Living there for the year was fine but they blow your email up 10 times a day threatening to charge you for this that and the third. Move out was A NIGHTMARE, we were moving out of Miami so we had to sell each of their items however we were not allowed to move our items unless we booked the elevator. So what do they expect us to book the elevator 20 times? Also we had to schedule more than a day in advance so if we sold an item we couldn't even get it out of the unit. They threatened us $1000 for that. When I tell you this was the most stressful move out process it really was. Now, we've received our move out statement... Keep in mind we lived there for less than a year and kept the place in great shape. They charged us a whopping $260 for "full paint charges" and $95 for "full cleaning charges" meanwhile they couldn't even bother to clean it for us before we moved in. I'm sorry but if they want to keep business going and customers happy they need to stop penny picking their residents. The greed in this complex is so real and disappointing. Lastly, it is next to impossible to reach out to management (this was an ongoing problem for the entire year) but now that we've moved out we keep calling and they claim they would call us back but its literally been weeks. If you want to live in an apartment that threatens to charge you for everything under the sun and then makes your move out a living hell all while ignoring you... This is the...
Read moreMy lease is up in January and I will not be resigning my lease because the property manager is accusing me of not picking up my dogs feces. They use poo prints and this building doesn't show you video for proof, they can just accuse and you have to pay. I've lived here for 3 years and half , and not only do I have my own dog, but I am also a dog walker who walks people's dogs in this building. I've never had any accusations from anyone about dog feces until Ely, property manager, started accusing me. I asked her for video proof and she said she didn't have to provide video. She also said she doesn't have a manager above her so she said she can do whatever she wants (big red flag). You would think if this was the first time, then I would get a warning, but Ely doesn't care about people and is obviously a criminal because I'm pretty sure she grabbed the feces from the trash so she can accuse me and fine me. Ely is always looking for someone to pay a fine. Lots of people have complained about Ely being a bad manager and how much they hate living here. They also complain about how much mold they get in their apartment. As you can see from the pictures the floors are always dirty, people leave their trash outside and is not safe because they leave the door open for anyone to come in. There's lots of homeless people around and I've seen them in the...
