When suddenly you're browsing through your Instagram account and a massive Cheesecake pops out on your story, off course is a must try!
Location: Very welcoming upon arrival, cute decor and 10/10 service from our waiter to their bus girl (even offering to wash the baby's plate - not many restaurants will go above and beyond)
Food: Ordered different Appetizers, Sushi Rolls and Dessert.
We started off with
• Asia MIA Salad (disappointment upon salmon not being smoked from what the menu states but with salad can be shared it's a big portion) • Bacon Boom (if you love the combination salty and sweet; this an amazing choice the sweetness of the date combined with the saltiness of the chorizo then the drizzle of their tzataiki sauce makes it a perfect bite) • Besitos Especiales (it has a form of an egg roll but so much bigger; very delicious and at the bottom you have a similar of the Asia MIA Salad minus the carrot and salmon - yes we had salad option for days!) • PataKONG (it was hard to eat as the Patacón was extra fried so definitely wasn't much of a sandwich but more separate everything and eat everything separately. Maybe if the Patacon wasn't too over fried it could've been eaten as a sandwich. Too messy as I hate getting my hands dirty so very good visual but if you don't like getting your hands dirty; not a great choice) • Akita Linda Roll (love it but maybe with Brie Cheese would be even more delicious) • Mango Tango (combination was interesting but having the ceviche already with an acidic consistency plus as well the passion fruit glaze it was sort of odd) • Cheese Crack (it was amazing! Just how the video showed in the Instagram story, perfectly balance in all flavors.
Definitely will come back only for dessert!)
I dropped one star mainly because I ordered a glass of white wine and it was room temperature. I asked to return for a different white wine and they brought out the bottle. The bottle itself was not cold at all. They asked to bring another glass in 5 mins but declined as anyone knows you CAN'T chill white wine in 5 mins.

Read moreFrom the moment I walked into Sushi KONG, I knew this was not just another sushi spot in Miami. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between modern and cozy. The décor has a chic, urban vibe, with a touch of warmth that makes it feel inviting rather than pretentious. I also loved that they have outdoor seating, and the fact that it’s pet-friendly makes it even better for families or anyone who wants to bring their furry friend along.
Now the real highlight—the food. Sushi KONG delivers an experience that goes far beyond ordinary rolls. Each dish feels like a fusion of Japanese precision with Latin flair, and the flavors are bold yet refined. I tried the Florida Crunch Roll, and it was an explosion of textures—crispy, fresh, and perfectly balanced. The Havana 305 Roll was another standout, packing in vibrant flavors that felt uniquely Miami. Even the classic rolls were done with incredible freshness and attention to detail.
What really surprised me was the variety beyond sushi. The Beef Yakisoba was hearty and savory, and the presentation made it clear the chefs put thought into every plate. But the true showstopper was dessert—the cheesecake was silky and indulgent, and the pistachio special might be one of the best sweets I’ve had in the city.
The service deserves just as much praise as the food. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu. They were eager to recommend options without ever being pushy. Everything arrived promptly, and I felt like they really cared about making the dining experience special.
✨ Final Thoughts
Sushi KONG is more than a restaurant—it’s an experience. If you’re looking for sushi that’s creative, flavorful, and beautifully presented, this is the place. Add in the stylish yet comfortable atmosphere, thoughtful service, and unforgettable desserts, and you’ve got one of the best dining gems in Miami.
I’ll definitely be coming back—and next time, I’m bringing friends so I can sample even more...
