We just placed an order online with Grubhub which specifically stated the items we wanted and paid for. We ordered 10 croquetas, 6 of them were spinach and cheese. We were sent all 10 ham and chicken (which we did not order and nobody at this office eats) the spinach and cheese ones were for the vegetarian in the office whom is now going to go without having lunch for another hour due to your staff's inability to prepare an order correctly or advise if they are out of an item. We also ordered a Ricky Steak Sandwich and 2 Pan Con Bistecs. None of which came with any of the ingredients they are supposed to. I am attaching photos of them all so that you can see for yourself that none of these sandwiches look any different nor have any of the aforementioned supposed ingredients. No lettuce, no chorizo cantinpalo, no onions, just a piece of steak, ham and some potato fritters. From the pictures can you yourself differentiate which one was supposed to be the Ricky and which one was supposed to be the regular Pan Con Bistec? This was a $60 order for delivery. We have had to throw the entire order away as these items are inedible. I have called 3 separate times and been advised that there are no managers available because they are "busy with orders." The lack of costumer service is so...
Read moreI’m kind of bias when it comes to Ricky’s Bakery, they are the closest to my home in Miami and their hours are great for a retired guy. Coming from the West Coast, this place has the old school feeling of La Victoria Panadería or Casa Sánchez of The Mission in San Francisco. As always the good the bad and the ugly: Their pastries are the best when it comes to their products, natural juices are a plus and variety of items in their menus are a reason to return. If it wasn’t Miami the service would be bad, but most business here are the same, you have to break through the initial courtesy barrier to get a smile or a response but once you do it becomes a better experience. And the ugly, well like I said, I’m bias to Ricky’s Bakery as they are my local bakery, and without me walking by, I would not have noticed it. It’s centrally located on Coral Way between Burger King and Winn Dixie and unless you are looking for it, you will miss it. I know that I drove and walked by it many times before entering. They have their own parking lot and plenty of street parking spaces are available. I highly recommend Ricky’s and even though they are small to medium size with two locations, they still have a personal feel to them that’s expressed with what looks like a...
Read moreI’ve been a loyal customer of Ricky Bakery #2 for 4 years now’s, and always enjoyed their pastries and good customer service. However, recent orders have been underwhelming and disappointing. While their pastelitos, croquetas and premade cakes were always fresh and delicious the Cuban bread, some breakfast items, and bocaditos are a hit or miss. My recent delivery was especially disappointing. The bread was VERY stale, hard, and had strange cotton/hair like fibers all over ontop of it. Even though I NEVER seen this on any Cuban bread I bought before I thought maybe it could’ve been fibers from the gluten, but when I tried pulling it apart it was very hard to break and definitely inedible. When I cut the bread open, there was none inside, so I assume it collected this stuff while sitting in the bakery. Aside from that, the bocaditos tasted old, and the pasta de jamón inside had an off flavor like if it was old. It's a shame, but I don’t think I’ll be ordering from here again given my experience and other recent reviews...
