I was so excited to try To Be Determined. I went into the experience knowing the menu was limited, but when I arrived i was shocked that 3 of the 8 dishes contained Mollusks- which i am allergic to. This allergy is noted in my Resy profile which the restaurant confirmed they received as when I walked in they said "I understand someone in your party has a Mollusk Allergy". As they were aware of the allergy, they should have contacted me ahead of time to let me know my selections based on the current menu would be limited. At the time of ordering, i asked the waiter if ANY item on the menu (that didn't have mollusks in the name) contained mollusks in the ingredients. He reported they did not. Once we ordered, I again confirmed that all of our selections (the 5 items that were not Mollusks)did not contain mollusks. He confirmed they didn't. When setting down one of the dishes- the sea bass- the server noted that the dish contained an octopus broth. I informed them that Octopus was a mollusk (an octopus dish was one of the menu items we had previously discussed I could not have). They remade the dish but I had informed them I was no longer interested in receiving it. I didn't touch the dish (my guest ate a portion). After this incident I asked the waiter to confirm nothing else i ate contained mollusks. He reported they did not, however i showed symptoms of my allergy prior to returning home. Additionally they charged us for the Sea bass. It is disappointing they did not take my allergy seriously. While the ribeye and Cacio Pepe were delicious, they are not worth visiting a restaurant that is okay with its patrons having allergic reactions. Additionally the menu did not contain a...

Read moreWe were lucky to find a same day reservation even though Resy didn’t have any listed. We called the restaurant and they made an amazing accommodation for us.
This place is very unique. You do not know what will be in the menu as it changes every two weeks and we were told that the chefs even make same day changes.
When we went the menu was heavily seafood based. It also seems that is their theme from speaking with the waiter.
We started with the bread service. It was warm and soft and a great tasting inside. There was something in the bottom that gave it a weird taste. Thinking about it, seems maybe the cast iron it comes in maybe was not cleaned of prior tastes or maybe the butter used was burnt. Not sure it was odd. It was good bread though you should try it.
As the second plate we had the mushroom risotto. OMG wow! It was definitely delicious. It was also a very popular plate. Every table in the restaurant ordered this plate.
Side note the place is very small. Only 10 tables in the entire place.
As our main dish we ordered the sea bass. This was a little disappointing. It had a pretty strong fishy taste. Sea bass is NOT fishy. The sauce was very good and the plantain pure was good. But the plate overall did not wow us.
Service was superb; Michelin grade actually. They have a pretty big selections of wines and pair them with your meals.
The dining room decor is basic but nice. The bar is very nice. Overall, definitely recommend you check...
