Yum Yum Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Miami

This rating is not for their food, but rather the service and the cleanliness of the place. I've been here a couple of times asking about their duck but they are always out, one time I was finally able to get one, and it wasn't bad. I'm not crazy about their food but it isn't bad at all either. The place looks a bit dirty, at least the last 3 times I was here it was. I usually order to go but have eaten inside, they are friendly but they look at you like you did something wrong, which I didn't care for either, they usually have family in there too, maybe kids and what seems to be someone's grandma which has glared at me like I'm stuffing things in my pockets. Anyways, besides all this go ahead and eat their food, not really a disappointment. They have a big problem, and it's next door, a more busy Japanese suchi restaurant. I can understand their concerns with parking because costumers will park wherever they see fit, but today (the day I'm leaving this review) I had a problem with Yum Yum, one that I didn't have in the past with them, I wanted to order from both places but because the restaurant next door takes so long I wanted to place my order, come back to Yum Yum, place my order with them, pick up next door, then pick up from Yum Yum again. I told the lady first which is what I always do that I parked in one of their 5 parking spots in front of the restaurant and told her my intentions (again, like I always do) but she told me that if I was ordering next door first I had to park on their parking, I tried to plead her telling her she's allowed me to do this before, I can understand that with so many costumers she doesn't remember me, but boy.. I felt she was pretty rude, masking her attitude with a sorry, twice. I told her I could leave my card or I.D. which I just remembered that they're not supposed to accept it anyways. I could explain in further details but this is too much a waste of time for a place I will not be coming back to, there are others that are better, except for the duck, around my area. I'm not saying I don't suggest eating here but be aware that you might feel unwelcomed. By the way out of their 5 parking spots only 2 are taken, finally after almost an hour someone parked there but apparently just realized that to go next door and eat at the other restaurant you can't use Yum Yum's parking spots. My order is ready not next door, I could have been eating Chinese, but they lost me...

"HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION - DELIVERY"

I placed an order for delivery the lady taking the order was so busy placing me on hold that she did not ask if my credit/debit card was flat surfaced or imprinted. I waited 40 minutes for my order just for the delivery guy to arrive and tell me he cannot take my card because he could not make an imprint of the flat surface TD bank card i own. He asked for the food back said it was policy i was so upset but it was not his fault it was the fault of the lady taking orders. I checked my account right after to make sure I was not charged AND I WAS!!! so basically if all the money I had on my account was just spent on food i didnt obtain i would starve tonight because of bad communication.

The food was amazing the first time I tried it but right now as i write this review hungrily awaiting papa johns that has no problem using my flat surfaced card i second guess ever supporting their business.

-There was no work around so basically you leave an unhappy hungry customer who also was charged with the opinion that your business lacks customer...

I always loved Yum Yuma but now it’s bad the grease they cook chicken in needed changed a long time ago I won’t order no more prices went up that was my first review and now for review no her 2 I ordered delivery to my office and I got sweet and sour chicken and it was hard as a rock it looks like they cooked it a few times it almost broke my tooth unedible no one could eat this the chicken meat was hard couldn’t bite through it so bad I have picture I called and they didn’t want to help unless I bring to them and if I could have done that I would not have had it delivered I just wanted a refund she wouldn’t do that without the food that needs to be thrown away because it is way over cooked so I just won’t ever order from there and I will make sure to spread the word every where about how rude the person that answers the phone is at this restaurant.
