Great trip, captain Monica was fantastic and I felt safe knowing Monica was with us. Duration was good and the little island alcove was nice. I took away a star because we didn't see any dolphins. I know we can't force the dolphins to hang out, but it was advertised on TripAdvisor as if it were going to be impossible to not see dolphins. The org has dolphin in its name. That was the main point of our trip and we didn't see any. But I still rated this highly because Monica still gave a fantastic tour. Initially we weren't excited at all to see the rich corpos mansions, but the context Monica gave made them a lot more exciting and made up for no dolphins, otherwise the review would be much lower. Would reccomend again and hopefully you will see dolphins next time! Perhaps consider a charter if it's wildlife you want to see, but for a cruise around the mansions, could think of no one better than capn Mon!

P.S TripAdvisor also didn't not include the fact that you have to pay the captain separately in cash, the captain is not part of the booking. Technically you are renting the boat for yourself and TripAdvisor just helps facilitate finding a captain to drive it for you, which is a separate charge. We probably would have gone with another organization had we known it would cost an extra $100 for the captain. But capn Mon brought us champagne and again, she salvaged the tour in a fantastic experience. TripAdvisor should make this point more clear that there is an extra charge for the driver but such is life

P.P.S it is hard to find the pier you need to go to if you're not familiar with the area. My suggestion is you go to the hard Rock cafe and ask someone who looks local to tell you where...

We had a great experience with Dolphin Water Sport during our recent Spring Break! I wanted to get something set up before we headed down there, because we knew we wanted to snorkel and I didn’t want to risk everything being booked. DWS had great reviews, so I set it up and do not regret it. It was the first big thing we did, the first full day we were there. It was a good amount of time (two hours), because I have a kid who doesn’t really tolerate longer activities that go over a couple hours. Captain Jack was awesome, he knew the main thing he wanted to do was snorkel, and he took us to this cool island with an obelisk. He pointed out a bunch of interesting things along the way, and was very friendly and helpful. He was also careful to follow speed/wake regulations here and there the way, which I appreciated. We took the 10 AM slot, which he said it was a great time because there wouldn’t be very many people around yet, and he was right. There was only one boat there when we got there, and they weren’t even in the water. We got to snorkel all around during our time, saw some huge brightly colored conchs, some puffer fish, a barracuda, some hermit crabs, little schools of fish, coral…we didn’t make it over to the resident octopus, alas. It was our kids’ first snorkel, and they really enjoyed it. We enjoyed our included champagne on the ride back to the marina. (Kids had water, of course) Thank you so much, Captain Jack! You were an awesome captain, and I recommend you and Dolphin Water Sports to anybody! It’s great to have the private tour, just us and the captain, and at a good price. Definitely a highlight...
