Rik Rak Salon — Local services in Miami

I will never trust this person if recommend this person to anyone. I recently moved to town from California and was in search of a good reputable salon. This salon was near the area I was in and they were able to take me in same day. I specifically asked the front desk and made sure to ask that the stylist I was assigned to has had been working at this salon for over a year and is experienced. From the get go I knew something was off. I asked for a shadow root, I had high life’s done a month ago, beautifully done, however I was tired of bleaching my hair and wanted to grow my highlights out. I knew the stylist, her name is Adrienne , did not know what she was doing. Long story short she ruined my hair. She was applying color to my roots and color was flying all over the place; her technique was extremely sloppy. She started getting the root shadow color on my ends and then kept apologizing saying oops. Ran me to the sink and started rinsing my hair. Then we agreed to a keratin treatment right after the root. As she was applying it she kept splattering some on my face, it was just going everywhere. My eyes were burning. Then after the treatment she realized she didn’t leave on the root shadow for as long. So she says, mind you this was after the keratin treatment, let’s dye your roots again because they started turning orange due to the chemical process. Well as she started doing the color again, AFTER THE TREATMENT (which I learned your not supposed to do and wait at least two weeks because the color will be uneven and isn’t quite frankly safe to do so) my hair after the second dye session started turning blue. She ran me back to the sink. At this point I was traumatized. Thank God for the other hair stylist who took over and managed to make my hair presentable. I left the salon very unhappy. In addition, my scalp is so itchy and irritated , most likely from the copious amounts of back and forth that she put my hair through on top of doing a keratin treatment in an unsafe manner. I absolutely adore this place; it's like a second home to me. Previously, I used to handle my own spa services and hair care, though I was far from a professional. However, for the past six months, I've been a regular here, and each visit leaves me thoroughly impressed. I always book gel manicures with both Adriana and Karolin, and I indulge in deep conditioning treatments with Damian, Maria, Gustavo, Odalys, Lea, Gorete, and Tammy. Whenever my friends are in town for a girls' day, I make sure to schedule them with one of these talented individuals. Even though they don't offer barbering services, I'm never worried because they've always got trusty scissors on hand.

During each visit, I consistently receive valuable seasonal product recommendations, and I must say, my sometimes challenging hair loves Kerastase. What I truly appreciate is that this salon is a one-stop shop for all my beauty needs. Moreover, the front desk staff is always polite and incredibly helpful. I'm truly impressed with Rikrak's evolution. I've even brought my mother here a few times, and she jokingly calls it my second home. I have nothing but great things to say about Rik Rak! I’ve been taking my daughters to Leticia to do their eyebrows for over 5 years now and 2 of them are away at college. They refuse to do their eyebrows with anyone but Leticia so she’s one of their first stops when they come home from all their breaks! She’s awesome as a professional and as a person! Our family loves her! Rik Rak also has delicious food and wonderful service! And recently my favorite thing about Rik Rak is Raquel! The beautiful clothes and accessories from their boutique is all the wonderful work of Raquel! My eldest daughter fell in love with a necklace while she was there doing her eyebrows with Leticia. I went back the next day to get it for her for Christmas and the necklace had been sold. Raquel made it happen for me knowing how much I wanted to surprise my daughter!
