Last week, I visited Sweat440! I decided to try this method because it caught my attention, as I work in the fitness industry and wanted to experience what I had already read about Sweat440.
When I arrived at the studio, I found just one trainer trying to do everything (welcoming clients, running the class, answering questions, etc.). Upon my arrival, I received no greeting, no explanation of how the program works, and no one asked if it was my first time or if I had experience in fitness. I came with a ClassPass booking, and the staff member simply told me: “Go ahead, join the class, and I’ll register you later.” So I did.
After finishing the class, I stayed in the reception area for a while, waiting for the staff member to register me as promised. However, he was gone. I had people waiting for me outside, so I left.
A few days later, I received a message from ClassPass stating that I was being charged €17 because I reserved the class but did not show up.
I have contacted Sweat440 Brickell multiple times via email and Instagram, asking for a refund, as this issue was caused entirely by their mismanagement and is their responsibility.
I reserved the class through ClassPass. I attended and completed the class.
Having only one person handling everything and being unable to keep up is...
Read moreJust be careful with the contract! I did a one month contract because I was super excited with the offer and the front desk guy convinced me in a rush to get a membership. I asked him about cancellation fees/ break of the contract etc and he told me I would only have to call that they would cancel, that was an easy and fast process. I loved going there but it has become a nightmare trying to cancel this. I can’t use (medical reasons) and I don’t wanna use anymore the place, and now every time I call the number they gave me they tell that I can’t cancel because was not 14 days prior my billing cycle. So I decided to froze the membership because I couldn’t pay either. And now what they say? They say that if I unfroze and ask to cancel (no matter what day) I will have to pay. Which means o only had ONE chance to cancel the membership. Is really frustrating because I always check every detail in a contract, the only time I didn’t I got in this situation because the front desk person didn’t told me all the details. Anyways, the experience has been really bad and nobody there is willing to make any effort to understand my situation and to solve...
Read moreAfter training at SWEAT 440 for over 2 years, I could say that it was an exciting first year and a regular second year.
The Good: 1.- Definitely having the flexibility schedule is the main benefit. Classes start every 10 minutes. 2.- The training programa are generally good. I like the idea of not having to think in advance the exercises for a workout. 3.- 40 minutes and you are all set. This is how long the classes last.
The Not So Good 1.- I don’t know if they vacuum the carpet daily, but it should be done more throughly. Most of the time after a floor exercise, I get up with hair over my body. 2.- During peak hours, sometimes they don’t have enough towels. 3.- The staff is super nice, but I would like they being more active correcting exercises or posture. 4.- After training for two years, in some exercises, the weight is not challenging anymore. 5.- Cancellation process is slow. You cannot do it at the studio, you have to call to a phone number and they take their time to help you.
In the end, I am cancelling because I feel like I am stalled. I would like to try something different and might come back in the future If I am able to...
