I don't even know where to start - this might actually be the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in the US. I knew what I wanted to order based on a previous visit (picada criolla, which is an appetizer sampler), but our server (Jaime R.) immediately tried to talk us into ordering something three times the price ($98 vs. $32), claiming that the menu says it serves 3-4 but it really only serves 2. When I told him we just wanted to start with the picada criolla, his entire demeanor changed and it was obvious he considered us to be a low-revenue table.
He came by a few minutes later to ask us what we were drinking, and when we said we were fine with water, that was the nail in the coffin for our service for the rest of the night. The funny thing is that we were considering ordering more food but he took our menus away and didn't come back for so long that we gave up.
Our order took over 30 minutes to come out, we spent 10 minutes trying to flag down Jaime to refill our water (even though all adjacent tables were getting regular refills), and spent another 10 minutes trying to pay. After getting literally zero attention the entire time, he had the nerve to tell me "tip is not included" as he handed me the credit card machine. The machine only offered tip prompts of 25%, 20%, and 18% (in that order) - I was surely not about to tip 25% for zero service and a poor attitude.
At first, we thought only our server was the issue, but when we tried to flag down other servers, they refused to make eye contact and one even told a manager that we were not his table and he would therefore not assist (not sure if he thought we couldn't see/hear that interaction).
Please do yourself a favor and go to any of the other excellent restaurants in Brickell and don't give your hard earned money...
Read moreI had two experiences at this restaurant, and unfortunately, neither was pleasant. During my first visit, while our server was very friendly, there were several issues. Most of the beers we ordered from the menu were unavailable, which, in my opinion, reflects more on the restaurant’s management than on the server herself.
The more concerning issue occurred when I ordered dessert to share with my niece, who has a banana allergy. We specifically informed the server that the dessert should not include anything with banana. We decided on a petit gâteau with ice cream, assuming the ice cream would be guava or another flavor. Despite our clear instructions, the dessert was brought with banana ice cream, which is a serious and unacceptable mistake. This experience left us very disappointed.
Hoping for improvement, I decided to give the restaurant another chance. On our second visit, my party ordered steaks, which I believe were either filet mignon, New York steak, or ribeye. I requested mine medium rare, while my husband, brother, and sister-in-law all ordered theirs well done. My sister-in-law even emphasized in her order, “Well done, please—I don’t like anything less cooked.” However, her steak arrived nearly raw, which was absolutely unacceptable.
I cannot recommend this restaurant based on my experiences. Failing to respect dietary restrictions, such as allergies, is a serious issue. Additionally, not preparing food according to customer preferences, especially after clear instructions, shows a lack of attention to detail. If you’re looking for a restaurant in Brickell that values and respects its customers’ requests, I suggest trying one of the many other excellent...
Read moreThis Argentine restaurant delivers a truly unforgettable dining experience — rich in tradition, bold in flavor, and steeped in that unmistakable South American warmth. From the rustic décor to the smoky scent of grilled meats drifting from the open kitchen, every detail felt authentically porteño.
We started with a round of empanadas, and they were flawless — the carne picante had a beautiful kick, while the jamón y queso was comforting and creamy. Each came with a side of house-made chimichurri that was zesty, garlicky, and absolutely addicting.
Then came the main event: the asado. We ordered the parrillada mixta — a sizzling platter of short ribs, chorizo, morcilla (blood sausage), sweetbreads, and perfectly grilled steak. Every bite was smoky, tender, and deeply flavorful. You could taste the care that went into the slow, wood-fired cooking.
For sides, the provoleta — grilled provolone with oregano and olive oil — was gooey and golden, and the papas fritas a caballo (fries topped with fried eggs) added just the right indulgence. We paired everything with a bold Malbec from Mendoza that matched the meal beautifully.
To finish, the dulce de leche flan was silky and rich, and the alfajor dessert plate gave us a sweet, crumbly taste of Argentina’s pastry tradition.
Service was knowledgeable and warm, with staff who were clearly proud of the cuisine they were sharing. Whether you're familiar with Argentine food or trying it for the first time, this place is a five-star gateway to everything that makes it special — bold meat, big flavor, and the soul of Buenos...
