We went Sept 2 on Labor Day at 12pm. It wasn’t busy there were 6 other tables there when were seated and I just add those tables had already been there eating and we’re on their way to wrapping up. They did have one server scheduled with one server assistant it seems and occasionally we saw one busser. We were there for two hours total it was just me and my sister in total we had 4 drinks, 4 apps, 4 rolls and 3 different types of nigiri. Our first round of drinks took forever to come out 15-20 mins our first two apps came out in a decent time and then we ordered our nigiri and after half an hour when I asked the server she told me that sushi was taking forever to come out that I should order from the kitchen so we ordered edamame and 2 pork bao buns which were disgusting. We go the red wine pork buns and the disappointment was beyond me. The pork was extremely dry and the sauce tasted like ketchup. So we didn’t eat that. We finally got our two rolls after waiting more than half an hour and they were done so poorly it was falling apart. She told us they were down a chef and asked a manager to make our nigiri and after our rolls we finally got that. Once that arrived we ordered two more rolls which to no surprise took forever to come out. When they finally got to the table they were not good. We ordered two more rolls and got a cooked roll with scallops and cheese on top and there was just a bunch of scallops thrown on top and it was more eel and spicy mayo sauce than the actual roll and there was no cheese on top. The second roll we ordered took forever to come out and came out after we paid and honestly I had a piece to try it and didn’t eat the rest of it. On top of everything because it was a holiday they were charging dinner price all day our bill was $180 for 4 drinks and 2 people to eat when we didn’t eat one of our apps or two of the rolls. It was ridiculous, I would like to Mention that the other tables were getting their food back to back and towards the end of our time there they had more staff showing up. I’m not sure if they were understaffed because they wanted to be or what was going on? I’ve been on Saturday nights when they’re full and I get better service. If the food is going to take so long to come out then fine, but it should come out right and to standard. To wait half an hour for food and for the rolls to be falling apart is unacceptable. To be charged so much and receive such bad service and not see a manager take 5 mins to apologize to the tables is unacceptable. Not that my business is what keeps kan open, but I don’t think I will return after...
Read moreHIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED!! We had a terrible experience in this restaurant. We were 5 people and got All you can eat sushi. The food they served was decent. They were not extraordinary but still okay but then comes the service which was horrible in another level. We ordered miso soup , some appetizers, sushi and nigiri . It was odd that most of the things our server kept forgetting. For example we ordered two jalapeño bomb , 2 spicy beef gyoza and only one came and the other came after 45 mins and repeated reminders to our sever. The miso soup came at last. By that time my son had already eaten so did but even want the soup. There was one salmon sushi which I ordered in the end. And then kept waiting. Reminded our server couple of times but she kept forgetting. Even the check came in the end but the sushi never came. I told the server that the service was really poor and then she said she will call the manager. This manager Daniel who came started screaming at us and said that the salmon sushi apparently arrived within 6 mins per his iPad and that we are the only ones who are complaining in his restaurant about the service. Also to take action, he needs to fire the chef or the server and we will be responsible for that. He made us feel that it was entirely our fault and created such a scene. I wish I had taken his video. Oh ! Btw he also accused us that we are asking for discount !! We were shocked because we only expressed the concern about the service . I even said that the food was good but the service level was below expectation. We are not saying it because we want discount but we thought we should let him know. This other person with the manager even said we have different accents which is difficult to understand. I can’t believe he had the audacity to make such a racist remark. Also my friend who took me there is a returning customer but I felt so bad for her that this place do not even value their customers who are loyal. I go to a lot of restaurants and you see my profile I have reviewed over 200 restaurants on Google itself and I am level 8 . I have never ever experienced such a treatment anywhere and can’t fathom any one can treat there customer like that. This person Daniel did not even say sorry in the end and walked away. We also paid the full bill. If you want a peaceful meal and want a happy ending to your evening Do NOT...
Read moreThis will be my last visit to this restaurant. Although I have frequented this place several times in the past and generally had a decent experience, my most recent visit was extremely disappointing.
I arrived during dinner time, and the restaurant was relatively empty. I opted to sit indoors. After a few minutes, my waitress came to take my order, which included several pieces of Nigiri and a roll. Not long after, a group of influencers entered and began setting up bright external lighting, including a large ring light, to record videos. The lighting was very intense, and despite my hope that someone would ask them to turn it down or off when not in use, nothing was done.
This disturbance alone was manageable, but the situation worsened. I received part of my order, but after waiting a significant amount of time, the rest of my food had still not arrived. Meanwhile, the influencers, who arrived after me, received multiple drinks and dishes promptly. I felt frustrated, especially since no one from the staff checked on me or asked if I needed anything.
The final straw was when one of the influencers began vaping indoors. At first, I thought they might be doing it discreetly, but it was clear that the manager and the staff noticed and chose to ignore it. The smell and visible smoke made the indoor atmosphere unpleasant, and it was evident that there was a lack of enforcement of restaurant policies.
When a staff member finally approached me, I asked for my check. Only then did they bring the remaining part of my order, which had been sitting out. By that point, my dining experience was ruined.
I am extremely disappointed by this blatant display of favoritism toward the influencers. While I understand that restaurants may accommodate certain guests differently, ignoring other patrons, allowing disruptive behavior, and failing to provide a basic level of service is unacceptable.
I do not plan to return to this restaurant, nor will I recommend it to anyone I know. I suggest management consider how favoring certain guests may harm their reputation and discourage loyal customers...
