I love shopping at Redners, especially after the remodel. Accessibility is usually a huge issue at a lot of stores but besides for a few narrow seasonal shelves, I've never had an issue navigating around Redners in their scooters. There has also only been one time I've come in and there have been no available scooters, and it was the week of Thanksgiving last year. Other stores in the area don't hit that mark at all.
The people who work there are helpful and kind, it seems like in the past year there are less employees on the floor than there used to be. Which makes it even more impressive that that store looks as good as it does.
My biggest issue with Redners is the Produce department. Around the beginning of the remodel I noticed a lot of the produce was spoiled or modly. After the remodel the produce externally looks better but when I bring it home and cut into it, there will be spoiling on the inside. I suspect this is an issue with the supplier? Not to mention I very rarely see an employee in the produce department. If there arent enough employees on the floor to delegate one to do quality control on produce how are these issues supposed to be avoided?
I love my local Redners but I wish the upper mangement loved that store as much as I, and seemingly the employees who otherwise take such good care of...
Read moreThis is my "walk to the store" store.. if I'm at home and I feel like I need a few things or dinner I like going to this supermarket. I can walk to it and it gives me excellent exercise! My feelings on Redner's is there are some things that are cheaper than my weekly normal supermarket that will just call Big G and there are things that are more expensive than big G . And there are brands or products that I need that I can only find a big G that I can't find at Redner's. I'm not overly all impressed with their produce department things are a little bit pricey there. I find Redner's pasta is kind of pricey compare to Big G. But on the positive side I love their deal on three packs of lunch meat for $10! Their meat department is clean an excellent! Their Delicatessen seafood is wonderful! wonderful service nice people! The same goes to the people at Bakery they're always friendly and willing to go out of their way to help you! Management and the cashiers are always quite friendly and take the time to say hello to you. And always very helpful! I wish they would expand their product line.. lower a few prices. But everybody that works at Redner's they seem to remember you as a regular customer and stop and chat with you! I like...
Read moreIf I could give it no stars I would. They are racist! I will not go back there ever again. My debt card did not go through and my fiancé card did not go through at the self checkout line. We tried it at least 4-5 times. We even went to the register behind us where a white family checked out with a card as well and yet it said "can't process." So the white attendant said well maybe you should call your bank. It was no need to call a bank, both of us just got paid and we went to previous stores and used a card. Then they wouldn't let us go to a different line to checkout, so we had to leave the store with nothing. He said there's nothing else we can do for you here. As I'm looking back at the self checkout lane everybody is checking out using cards. So yes they are racist and if you're black go there for yourself and you'll see. It's ridiculous, you would think that being its 2017 a store would not be that way but I guess some people or businesses don't change. But don't worry you'll see this store on Fox or ABC...
